So my girlfriend loves Ru Paul's drag race. Being dutiful, I watch along. It's become a guilty pleasure as I talk a GANG of shit about a bunch of bitchy ass dudes who catily bitch at each other but won't just punch each other in the face.

Wanking and the Eurovision Song Contest.

I would rather someone walked in on me wanking than watching the contest.

I have in the past combined these two activities.

Definitely no Ru Paul or any other girly faux celebrity type show.

I guess I must be boring because I derive a lot of pleasure from cooking. It can be simple stuff on the stove/oven, grilling, cold and hot smoking to complex meals that take a couple days between prep and actually sitting down to eat.

I love cooking. This lockdown has improved my skills greatly. Really stoked by it

Turning something that can be negative into a positive. How's the old saying go----"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

Congrats on the newfound skills. Once comfortable with, and enthused by improving your culinary skills, the sky's the limit.

For sure. I've always had pretty good instinct with cooking, but now I'm learning better technique in balancing flavors.

In my neck of the woods, it's called "staging" the ingredients to maximize overall flavor of the end result. When I cook I put things in the dish in an order, depending on what meal I'm cooking. This builds a set of tastes that allows for different nuances to come through the food as you eat it. You may get one flavor/texture as you put it in your mouth, another as you chew it and an totally different result as it is swallowed.

You get that down pat and meals become memorable.

I usually hate 'reality' shows but I do love Jersey Shore.

At first I wasn't in to it but around the end of the first season I got hooked in...I can't explain why I'm into it.

I've been watching the recent season too I'm a couple of episodes behind though.

I do still like a lot of the happy hardcore music I listened to as a young teenager.

The Bonkers albums and stuff like that. Here's an example.
