What if Logan Paul fights tall and times Mayweather?

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

What are the odds?

I don't know if Logan Paul has improved much and Jake Paul looked better against Nate Robinson (not a boxer) than he did against Askren which isn't saying much. But, what if Jake let Floyd come to him and fought like he is supposed to?

Floyd is a goat, but a much smaller man and they are fighting with 10oz gloves. He's 44 and he just shouldn't be fighting for money or at all imho. I feel the money mentality may be his downfall should he continue to fight these youtubers and McGregors of the world. It's not the smartest move and I hope this is his last fight exhibition or not. But, he'll most likely fight Jake Paul who looks to be more serious about boxing and the better pugilist of the two.

I wonder how smart he is with his money and if he goes broke one day or if he is just addicted to the limelight. Floyd never was the most popular or a fan favorite. I think he is trying to get the love from fans and casuals that he never got throughout his career.

Father time is undefeated and I don't think he should be fighting bigger, athletic men. What say you?

Does anyone think the animosity is real? They both know how to sell themselves. When Jake Paul took his hat I thought it was fake, but he saw a side of Mayweather we've never seen before. The way him and his team reacted seemed real and Mayweather threw a punch or two at him with real intent. Looks like Jake Paul got a black eye for it too . Who knows, but I think it got serious that day.

This isn't Tyson vs Jones it's a young white guy with a massive following and an old champ that seems to crave for the attention and love he never got. I don't think they will carry each other like Tyson did for Jones. Floyd appeared to resent McGregor for the love and respect he got which is why he wanted to fight him. I have no idea how this fight here came to fruition.

The fact Mayweather really didn't take almost any real damage during his career and fighting REAL fighters along the way leads me to believe this internet fool has "Little To No Chance" of landing anything of any significance against Floyd.

Fluke things do happen in boxing and I've seen guys well ahead on the cards getting KO'd by a clean shot when they got sloppy or complacent. Jersey Joe against Marciano, Big John Tate against Mike Weaver, Castillo vs Corrales, Jermaine Taylor vs Carl Froch all come to mind.

Floyds extreme reaction to losing his hat seemed like Roid Rage... maybe he has been getting the best supplements money can buy in retirement.

Floyd should be fighting Manny Pacquaio.

I would not be the least bit sad if Floyd got whooped by the Youtuber.
I expect the kid to look better then Mcgregor and Floyd to be ridiculed after this circus fight.

Just curious, do you mention the skin colour of all his opponents?

I saw a little bit of an interview with Logan Paul by Showtime yesterday. They interviewed Jake Paul too and he said Mayweather doesn't hit hard. Might very well be bullshit. Obviously Mayweather isn't known for his power, but I just found that interesting that a non-boxer mocks Floyd's power. But it's Floyd's precision and timing that will cause the most damage. He'll probably just target Logan's body with the jab, over and over until he breaks Logan down.

He doesn't hit hard his ko percentage is proof of that. The last boxer he tko'd was Ricky Hatton back in 2007. The Victor Ortiz and McGregor stoppages weren't legit imho. Ortiz got caught in the middle of giving a hug and McGregor is not a boxer.

I also expect the gameplan to be to tire the larger man out with body shots and defense. Hats off to both if Floyd makes it look easy I'll be a little surprised. This guy will outweigh him by 40 pounds and all it takes is one good shot for this money grab to go up in smoke.

Logan Paul's trainer I've seen before and he was getting some advice from Ryan Garcia. He seems to be taking this pretty serious and for his own benefit Mayweather must do the same.

I expect Mayweather to tire him out and ultimately dominate him setting up a fight with the younger brother.

Mayweather hits hard enough to keep you off him.

Look when he fought Canelo in the mid rounds. Mayweather hit him with a shot just enough where Canelo stopped pressing.

Floyd is going to control the pace. This might be the most boring ppv of all time.

These guys will be posturing the whole fight.

Pretty sure Floyd will do like he's always done, get on his bicycle and let the guy come after him and pot-shot the guy when he misses with counter-punches.

It's a formula he's pretty much stuck to for decades, why change now. Look how long he let McGregor chase him in their fight before finally putting the guy away when he gassed.

He ain't timing shit.

Only way he gets in any damage is if that ref is lax on letting him tie up Mayweather with his 40 pound weight advantage and wrestler strength and dirty pound him a bit.

However my guess is the ref breaks that shit fast.

Then I think we could be in for something special.

Logan can stand at range with the controlled poise of Klitschko, firing out jabs in a manner replicating Larry Holmes.

He can use his well honed footwork to create angles that Mayweather hasn't seen before. Paired with his head movement, Mayweather simply won't be able to land at all, to head or body.
