Chinese accents are odd. I don't know if they're different over here as I've never been to China, but there's something not right there.

Ricky Burns and Carl Frampton (NI right?) have ace accents, but unlike Ayesha Hazarika @Bob Weaver I wouldn't fuck them.

Is there a difference between NI and ROI accents? I've been to ROI but never NI.

Here's a fucking baseball-bat-to-his-head-every-time-I-hear-it voice - the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives bloke. Short punky hair (like a fat Offspring lead singer). No idea what his name is or where he's from but I have to switch over.

edit: Foolishly googled.

Wouldn't mind having a go on his missus though...that's what songs like Pretty Fly For a White Guy gets you.

Ayesha Hazarika is marriage material. She's a 4/5 but gets bumped up to a 9/10 because of the gorgeous accent. She's the kind of girl you would take to see your Ma (Scottish accent there). She's also the kind of girl you'd spend talking at night about politics with and watching Johnny Tapia fights, and then she'd say in that beautiful Coatbridge accent "Shall we go to bed, Ian" and I would reply "After the second Ayala fight, sweetie". She'd wake up the following morning and I'd fetch her cold toast and Ringtons tea in bed. That night we would talk about the state of the economy, and I would introduce her to Jorge Paez and we would plan our marriage while watching el Maromero impart his wizardry on us all.

She's single, by the way. She let it slip in a Sky Press Preview session.

Ayesha and Lorraine on one screen.

We say maw, or mum, not ma. Everything else you say is plausible though...

Listen to her, Bob.

@Bob Weaver Going have to question your Scottish sexuality if you don't take a shine to her with that accent and those eyes.

Can you hook me up with a cute lassie from Scotland, please...?
I guess you will just have to question away.

I don't know her, but I do see Kelly Mcdonald, (from trainspotting and boardwalk empire), out and about sometimes, and I'm sure she split up with the guy from Travis.

Next time I see her I'll ask if she is into watching Johnny tapia fights and reading bedtime stories.

There is a difference between the different areas in Ireland, let alone between the North and the Republic.

But the stereotypes of the two are :

Republic:
I'll joehst play a wee sahng ahn me feddle, and den av a pent o do goed stoeff and a pahtato.

Northern

Hauld on noo, the sitcheayshun in norn iron has nevarr been say crrritical.

<Quickly googles 'Kelly McDonald'>

Didn't Travis manage one good song? Not that one about rain, the other one?

Her parents must be gutted, with a name like storm they must have had ambitions of her being a stripper or porn star.

Still, she's on channel 5, so she's almost there.
I think if her story is true she was conceived or born in a storm. I should be called Council House in Rainy South Yorkshire. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

They were very big for a year or so around the millennium, before Coldplay gazumped them in the dull British indie band stakes.

I know some folk who know some of the band. Have said hello to the guy who was with Kelly macdonald, and the drummer, but don't know them. Both seemed decent guys.

Think my fav song of theirs was "strong". Had some girl from Dream Team, the sky TV football soap in it.

If there was a poll I think this would be winning so far.

As far as accents I like (not particularly on women, I've gone through those) Birmingham/Coventry. Manchester. Geordie is okay as long as you can decipher the gist of a conversation before it all gets too much.

@Trail how the hell can you not tell the difference between the southern and northern accents. Different areas have their own accents, Belfast accent is a lot to different to a country accent, as is a Derry one. But in general the northern

How can you not at least get the difference between a northern Irish accent and a southern one. There's a lot of variation within that, but the stereotypical versions don't sound anything like each other. Totally different. Like I don't even know how you could confuse the two.

I'll put it in boxing terms for you:

south -

north -

Would have to say scouse is up there for me, dreadful dreadful noise. Also despise cockney accent, in fact think that's worth than scouse. And then just that annoying posh, public schoolboy english accent not sure if thats a specific place - Kent or something maybe? Anyway it's fucking awful.

Steve Collins sounds like a traveller.

Carl Frampton's accent is ace. I'd not heard Steve Collins talk for a long time.
