Just think how good the real thing tastes like what comes out of our home kitchens in S.E. Louisiana. I make a hell of a good home cooked gumbo and make a few variations of it depending on what I have on hand. My two favorites are chicken/sausage/okra and a good seafood gumbo with shrimp, crabs, oysters, bay scallops and if available, crawfish.View attachment 6429
Stumbled on the Murican food shelf. Decided to try out this gumbo base. Before work quickly through together some chicken stock, chicken thigh, sausage, jalapeno, celery, onion. All the slow cooker.
Blown away how good it tasted. I've never even had gumbo. Have to make a tonne more of these now with a bit more care obviously. Try other combinations
