When was the last time you consumed a sandwich, is this something you enjoy?

Just today at 6 pm. At a jalapeno bologna sandwhich with mayo and some chips. Bad decision because I'm now restless with a burning stomach due to the Valentina. If I sleep like this, I usually get horrible nightmares. Anyways, I've been dieting like crazy getting ready to go to my new program. Wanted a cheat day today, but I wish I held off until Saturday when the fights are on. Those are the best at having cheat days. Man, I wish I kept my routine after I had those interviews. Uh, I gained all that damn weight back . Oh well, when I start school, the weight will come right off.

So, forever one to be pushing envelopes and exploring new grounds I’ve just made myself some gourmet muthafuckin’ shit, the other day I cooked a bit of wagyu rump cap (sous vide/flaming charcoal)...

...so tonight I had wagyu rump, cheese and black truffle spread.

To be honest, I’ve had better sandwiches, I should have made some gravy, heated the meat up in it tgen had it on the cheese with some horseradish, on the sandwich. Oh well, it was still pretty good, you live and learn, I suppose.

Castle Duckula.
Wife made me two huge roast sandwiches yesterday. Ate one, had to attack the second later on. Not had roast pork in a long time. Big granary bap too which has become a fave of mine in recent times. Got some Chicken and stuffing that needs to be eaten, can not wait.

So I got ripped off buying a schnitzel sandwich today, went into a bakery and asked for a chicken schnitzel on a roll with cheese, coleslaw tomato and fresh chilli, they charged me $6.60 then they cut a third off a schnitzel and put it an a dinner roll ffs, I was disappoint.

I was going to buy my bread and stuff from there but they can now get fucked, I went to another bakery and bought a loaf of sourdough rye for $2.50 then went to the chicken produce counter and bought a panko crumbed chicken schnitzel for $2.50, went home, cooked the schnitzel and made this creation...

... both pieces of bread buttered with fresh avocado, two slices of extra sharp tasty cheese, one underneath and one melted on top, tomato and sriracha mayo. Amazing!

Made a spectacular tuna melt with sharp cheddar on seared buttered wheat the other night. First time in a good while making one. Underrated sandwich for sure.

Ooooh, a tuna melt is now on the agenda. I love just some fresh, thick cut white or sourdough bread with a small tin of tuna in oil on it, fantastic, however, this tuna melt thing has me drooling.

Yeah, tuna is great. I could eat it out of the can as is. Goes great with saltine crackers.

Are tuna melts uncommon in Australia, Dale?

Subway has introduced the idea, otherwise it was dull tuna casserole (a bit like a tuna melt but in casserole form), tinned tuna, Tuna Nicoise or simply fresh tuna.

Never rated Subway's tuna, and sticking it in a loaf of bread makes it even blander. A proper tuna melt is the way to go.
