Who is going to be the Democrat nominee in 2020?

I would actually bet on Biden. His negatives are outweighed by his positives when it comes to facing Trump.
I'd rather it be someone else than Biden, someone younger and less establishment, but I would take Biden over some of the other establishment people that could run. Biden does have appeal with certain types of swing voters and he wouldn't get completely run over in a shit talking contest with Trump like I could picture someone like Elizabeth Warren getting run over.

Hey, who's this fucking guy?!

I think Biden's time has passed. His moment was in 2016. Now he's 75 fucking years old, in the #MeToo era he's got decades of weird grabby overly-affectionate photos and videos with hundreds of women and children, and he's as Establishment as the Democrats get. Plus a couple of days ago he cancelled a planned event because he's sick and the doctor wouldn't let him travel.

Besides, last time it was a choice between two 70 year olds. So you really think that in 2020, the Dems should nominate a 76 year old (Biden), a 77 year old (Sanders) or a 71 year old (Warren)?

Good to see you too, old friend!

Honestly, as much as I hate it, yes. The Democrats need to run a semi-boring old white man that will kind of be a wet blanket over the bigotry that drives the Republican base these days. His positives that I think of are that he is a legitimately blue-collar man, he's from a working class background, he's suffered immense personal tragedy in his life and it allows him to empathize, and in turn be empathized with, and he's got that sort of folksy, aggressive charm. He isn't someone who will "take the high road" when Trump gets aggressive, assuming Trump doesn't resign in disgrace.

A Trump resignation in lieu of impeachment, however, would present a really interesting situation. I personally feel Mike Pence lacks literally everything Gerald Ford had that allowed him to almost win election in 1976, so a Democratic candidate, barring them being completely and utterly ruinous, would essentially walk into the Oval Office in that situation.

She's too young to be on the ticket, you moron. Go vote for some more empty suits to rig the economy so the 1% can hoard even MORE of the nation's income.

:hat
Yeah I know but she’s gold. Keep her by Bernie’s side and keep giving her the mic.

Here's what the bookies are saying. Dwayne Johnson got as much chance as Joe Biden

Don't get me wrong, I think a 56 year old or even a 66 year old Biden stomps Trump, and for the exact reasons you outline. 76 year old Biden, in the #MeToo era? I don't see it.

..... 2020 on a Democratic ticket will spend 18 months condescendingly lecturing millions of her potential white-male voters about what racist, sexist, homo/transphobic privileged shitheads they all are. Hopefully I'm wrong.

In a nutshell, this is why they wont win the next election, regardless of the candidates skin color or gender.

Their campaign will be everything you mentioned with a health dose of Anti Trump fluff and blah blah Russia blah misogyny blah blah Islamophobia, the people who really want Trump to lose regardless, I.E. the people walking around with Vagina hats and wailing into the sky for hours on end, will do so as well, whilst pulling the exact same stunts they did and are doing now, in the process alienating everyone else and stiffening the resolve of Trump supporters no matter what he does in the next two years..

The tantrums since Trumps election by these people has proven that they have learned absolutely nothing.....

Corrie Booker might get it. I prefer Sanders or Gabbard if Sanders is too old. I prefer Warren be speaker of the house or majority whip.

Dems can’t run on Trumps failures? He was supposed to fuck everything up. Can’t point at any needless War or failing economy so it will be about identity politics.

They have plenty to go on. The economy is Trump's best weapon and he's still vulnerable there. He's created a huge bubble and the gap between the rich and everybody else has gotten bigger.

Bernie can come out with his same message and it'll resonate. The voter in Ohio who's struggling to pay bills won't give a shit about the GDP growing by 4.1% or the stock market.

But look at how much stock the executives at Fortune 500 companies have bought since the tax cuts! Didn't YOU enjoy using your massive tax cuts for massive stock buybacks?

The elite won't allow it.
You're sadly right.

It's kind of hard to imagine the DNC nominating Tulsi as she is way too anti establishment and anti war. She already pissed off the DNC last election for endorsing Bernie instead of Hilldawg. but she's the only one I would consider voting for, the rest of the potential candidates are all weak and I can see them all losing to Trump.
