Establishment media still fluffing Biden, dismissing Bernie, and ignoring just about anyone else.

Meanwhile, it seems Biden's popularity in the polls is gradually decreasing, while the more progressive runners-up--Sanders and Warren--seem to be gaining momentum.

Could it be that Democratic voters are finally seeing through the establishment bullshit? Or, is this just the excitement of progressive voters that will ultimately be drowned out by clueless imbeciles who will tune in next November just in time to vote for the guy featured most on the news?

Too soon to tell, though my fellow Americans have an excellent track record for disappointing me.

Man, Biden is a shitty candidate. He's so fucking old! Yesterday he was talking about how he misses the days when Democrats and Republicans got along, and reminiscing about his friendship with Mississippi Republican Senator James Eastland, who "never called me 'boy' - he always called me 'son'".

Well, there are some problems with that.

Problem 1) He never called you 'boy' because you aren't black, you fucking moron.

Problem 2) Eastland was a vicious segregationalist. During the Montgomery bus boycott, he spoke in front of the White Citizens Council and said, quote, "When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to abolish the Negro race, proper methods should be used. Among these are guns, bows and arrows, slingshots and knives.... All whites are created equal with certain rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of dead n*s."

Don't be boasting about your friendship with that piece of shit, Joe Biden. :patsch You're not going to expand your support with that - the crowd that is receptive to that is already locked in for Trump.

Problem 3) Eastland retired from the Senate in 1978, and died of old age in 1986. For context, Mayor Pete was born in 1982.

What are you thinking telling that story, Biden you old fool?

Last time I had checked, Biden's lead had shortened, while Sanders and Warren's support grew. Can't remember if this was a national poll, or a state-specific poll (probably Iowa).

I think a lot of it has to do with his age, to be honest. He's stuck in a time capsule. He thinks that things are like they were when he arrived in Washington 400 years ago. They aren't. He's not going to be able to work with Republicans in any meaningful way. That's not how they roll, and haven't for years now. Their party has been taken over by rabid extremists. Even guys like Kasich and Romney have no place in the GOP any more.

True, but Sanders is even older, and is far more in touch with the issues affecting the average American, and he's not creating negative press for himself by saying and doing dumb shit the way Biden is.

That's true, but people age differently.

Biden has been a middle-aged guy/elder statesman establishment type since he was in his 20s.

Sanders has been an idealistic, full of piss and vinegar, we're-gonna-change-the-world-together twenty-something for the last 60 years. :thumbsup

Bernie is not even an outright socialist, I would say he is basically a social democrat and this is an important distinction as he basically just wants to expand social programs within a capitalistic system. So, not a complete socialist.

Who. Cares. About. The. Popular. Vote. It literally means nothing, especially in terms of this discussion, unless you are arguing for abolishing the electoral college? Hillary won the popular vote due to new york and california. Hillary lost the election because her campaign thought she automatically won Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and so she underestimated the danger in the rust belt states.

if Biden is the nominee Trump deserves to win bro.. Biden is such a fucking piece of garbage

Hey @Kolya , is Biden right about praising the segregationist? I don't mean this sarcastically or in a passive aggressive manner. Just curious what you think about this. Was this just another gaffe or does it say something else about who Biden really is?

For the record I am not totally against getting some kind of "moderate" in the white house, its just Biden is the epitome of why I hate most politicians.

Honestly if you want to discuss the difference between Social democracies (Nordic model) and a pure socialist system we can do that, but I'm not sure if you are just trolling me here with this meme or if you're looking for a discussion lol.

Not sure if he's just trolling and shitposting braindead memes, or if he wants an actual discussion? Come on man. :rofl You might as well try to get into an actual discussion with Farmboxer.

The DNC will showcase the more visible and viable 'progressives' to pacify the lunatic left. They will front Warren to demonstrate their 'progressive' cred, but also because she a woman. They may do the same for Harris. In there minds to demonstrate that they are down with black voters, specifically black women. Although she will stand alone with not much support from the party. With the party focused on other 3 candidates. Unless she starts to poll bigly. You never know. It's all identity politics, Ali. It's all that they have to offer. That and Trump is Hitler incarnate.
