Yeah, I don't agree that it is "just a coin flip". I think they did this deliberately. The DNC is rife with corruption, we all know this.

Also people do watch the secondary debates. You are right, however, that this system allows Yang and Gabbard to be on the same stage as Biden. So that is a positive.

Also, that's good that there will be 10 more primary debates, I hope that they finally include Warren on the same stage as Biden. Biden needs to be exposed for the neocon that he is.
It makes sense. Biden needs all the help he can get, and they don't want him attacked from what they may consider the far left. They've already The Squad to contend with.

Polls don't really mean shit at this point. Two cycles ago Rudy was leading the GOP field by 7 points at this point in the primaries, he ended up getting fourth place in one state and folding his campaign before Super Tuesday.

Last time it was Warren by herself out of the big 3 (though there's a case to be made that Bernie's campaign has been slowly deflating ever since he announced, and that Harris is the real #3).

But I mean, you can pretty much call bullshit no matter how it's arranged. Top pollers debate and kiddy table debate? Rigged - the DNC doesn't want people to hear from Tulsi or Yang!

Warren by herself on the first night, with Bernie and Biden together on the second night? Rigged! The DNC knows a lot of people won't watch the first one since the two most famous candidates aren't in it. OR - rigged! The DNC knows people are curious about this huge field, so they'll tune in to the first debate and Warren will basically have the stage to herself, without having to compete with Bernie and Biden and Harris for attention.

No matter how it is set up, it is easy to call bullshit if you want to. :thumbsup

The thing is, it's not like I am just saying this for no reason. We KNOW the DNC is corrupt. The DNC was caught giving at least 1 debate question to Hillary Clinton during the primary debates. They have put their thumb on the scale before for their preferred corporate candidate, and it's not out of the question that they are currently protecting Biden from his progressive challengers. It's easy enough for the moderators to pretty much ignore Yang and Tulsi, as they have done already.

I don't think Harris is the clear #3 just because she had a bit of a post debate boost after going after Biden. Harris is still clearly behind Bernie and Warren if you go by recent polling.

You make some good points, but I still think it's at least a little shady that Bernie and Warren aren't on the same stage as Biden. Really it could be a calculated move by the DNC. However, I have no evidence for my claims, this is just my opinion of course...unless Wikileaks leaks out some internal emails like they did last time, we will never know  :good

It is a calculated move, Tommy, there's no doubt. Biden will have this to contend with eventually, also. Not a good look.

First up, I appreciate that we can disagree /challenge each other's points without just spewing abuse. :thumbsup

No doubt the DNC is corrupt. But to what extent? I mean, the candidates who have come after Biden the hardest are Harris and Corey Booker. Harris was on the stage with Biden last time, and the biggest story out of either debate was her attacking him. This week, Biden shares the stage with both Booker AND Harris, both of whom have always known they need to come after him to take some of the black vote away from him. It really seems like no matter how the arrange the debates, it's easy to call conspiracy.

Anyway, there's almost a dozen debates left to go and the next one will be one stage, so that part of it will be moot anyway. :thumbsup

Glad to see John Delaney's still in it... looking forward to seeing his psycho stare some more:

Though it appears he's just put the final nail in his coffin:

https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2019/07/28/John-Delaney-outlines-plan-for-mandatory-national-service/7791564337473/

John Delaney outlines plan for mandatory national service

"Democratic presidential candidate John Delaney on Sunday announced a plan to institute mandatory national service if elected in 2020.
The former Maryland congressman outlined a program that would require all Americans to sign up for national service for one year, with the option to serve for two upon graduating high school or turning 18, in exchange for payment and up two or three years of free tuition at a public college or university depending time served."

Bootygig. No chance to be Democrat nominee.

@Haggis this is why you need to live here! African Americans, especially Southern Africans, are more Devon Alexander! Butigueg, buttboy, whatever the fuck his name is, always had zero fucking chance.

Hispanics are also similar in their view with gays, but I will say that African Americans have us beat. For example, my dad had a barbecue at his work, and a pretty substantial group of blacks that he worked with wouldn't even eat the food because a known (very out) homosexual was working in the kitchen. My dad had no problem eating the food, and if you guys think I'm homophobic, my dad is 10 times worse than me about this shit. Anyways, even he was taken aback at this .

Yes, I'm talking from experience, but I think in some cases this has to count for something. This is why I tell you that you need to stop talking about American politics!

Mate, read what I say instead of what you assume I am saying.

At no point have I said that Mayor Pete will win the nomination.

Many times, I have said that he will not. For exactly the reason that you say. Because he is gay, which means that millions and millions of backwards religious types will never ever consider voting for him.

I personally like him, and consider him to be just the type of serious, impressive person you guys want to see running. Instead of a bunch of 70-something orange retards/corporate whores/ideological fanatics.

Do not confuse my personal support for Mayor Pete, to support for the idea that he is the next President.

Others here are big Tulsi and Yang fans, and acknowledge that they have no real path to the nomination/Oval Office. You don't give them condescending lectures about how Tulsi and Yang are not going to win.

So it is with my stance on Mayor Pete.

I feel I have been quite clear on this, for a while now.

I. Don't. Think. Pete. Buttigieg. Is. A. Chance. To. Win. The. Presidency.

I. Just. Personally. Like. Him.

Please. Understand. That.
