It wouldn't surprise me if they do have the B-sample, but it was the same as the A-sample and they are just keeping schtum in the hope this will blow over. Lets not forget they had no intention of telling anyone about the failed test at all and we only found out because it got leaked.

Do we not know whether they have requested it or not? Surely not requesting it is an admittion of guilt?
No, we don't know if he has.

This isn't just going to go away though, I'm confident that when the B sample is tested, there'll be an announcement from at least one of the parties.

Unfortunately it will. Whyte will get some stick and casual fans etc will forget by next year and whyte will continue to get fights and paydays. Look at Povetkin, Ortiz, Miller, all blatant cheats who are still getting big fights and big paydays

I'm not saying he won't fight again. I'm saying it needs closure.

Something will happen for this to move forward.

Don't think Whyte's defence will hinge on the b sample. It's unlikely to vary unless they suspect contamination of the first.

More likely to claim contamination of food or a supplement he has taken, reaction to a TUE, or legal medicine, or depending on the substance and amount, a naturally occurring outlier of a result.

Basically he either joins the the fighters with bad diets, (Fury, Canelo), or "serious medical issues", (Povetkin, Ortiz). Or maybe he is just innocent.

Dianabol is a different animal to Clenbuterol which is what canelo tested for. I'm not sure how this can be blamed on food? The medical issues route is more likely

Maybe they’ll manage to find a chicken farmer in Jamaica that’ll take some cash to come and testify that he injects his chickens with Dianabol and poor old Dillian is only guilty of loving his jerk chicken when he’s on holiday?

Sadly, I’m only half joking.

Hearn has said the reports of the substance found were incorrect.

Which I take to mean that its not Dianabol, Hearn doesn't know what he is talking about, or he is confident it will never come out.

At this point I am not ruling anything out.

It's interesting that Hearn says we might "feel sorry for Whyte" when we find out. Might just mean we think he has been treated unjustly, but considering Dianabol is used to treat the testes I am going to assume Whyte has weird, dysfunctional balls until he makes a proper statement.

It's the only fair position to take.

This is boxing, I wouldn't rule your story out!

Hearn has said it is not dianabol? Where did the dianabol metabolites story first break? If they are so innocent why can't they just come out and be open with the public?

Hauser did a follow up article stating it was metabolites of Dianabol. He had been told what it was before, but he wanted to corroborate his sources before publishing.

He is a trusted writer, so I believe he will have performed decent checks. Doesn't mean it can't be wrong though.

In the big long IFL video, filmed in the back of a car before the Liverpool show, Hearn claimed that the what was reported regarding the substance was incorrect. Not sure what the exact quote was, it was a long, rambling, repetitive interview.

Yeah Browne and Canelo claimed tainted meat which was a good excuse because apparently they do put Clenbuterol in meat overseas but for Whyte to have a tainted substance that had Dianabol in it means that substance was most likely illegal aswell, if they come with an excuse no one should believe it I doubt a highly illegal product would be found in a legal product

I actually believe Canelo. Mexico is notorious for clenbuturol in cattle feed.

“Dillian Whyte is handling his UKAD situation." - Eddie Hearn.

"Him and his lawyers are working at it around the clock, because the sooner it’s revealed, the better. They want it resolved ASAP."

https://www.boxingnews24.com/2019/08/hearn-says-dillian-whyte-will-fight-before-end-of-year/

I hardly think Whyte and his lawyers would be 'working around the clock' if Whyte hasn't tested positive (as far as I know it has never been officially notified to the public) and didn't have a case to answer - like Hearn had earlier tried to intimate.
