Yarde has always been protected by Warren, hasn't he? i've seen a lot of British fans saying he has a padded record, never stepping up, until he did against Kovalev.

I know nothing about Spelman (but notice from his boxrec profile that he lost to a fighter who passed away after their fight - I recall reading about that two years ago), but despite a 16-4 record, he has never been stopped, and he has competed competitively at the domestic level. Yarde did well against Kovalev, but was stopped, and Kovalev was not yet even fit when he did that fight. Could we see an upset here?

In round 6 this fight turned into a good slugfest until Spelman goes down (takes a knee?) and the ref stops it?!? That was a far too early stoppage. 22 seconds left of the round. Spelman could have survived that. That did not look like a correct decision.

He wasn’t going to survive that, he was getting knocked out.

Thankfully for us Yarde was on tonight so we could see a stoppage on the show, the Heffron vs Bentley fight was entertaining, I don't think I've seen those scorecards before or maybe I just don't recall when I did but good to see the Beast getting back to winning ways (notwithstanding that little warm up he had in Spain)

Slow start from Yarde and a competitive fight. Once he stepped it up though he looked the better fighter.

It was an early stoppage. Sure he was going to win anyway, but the guy got up and looked lucid enough.

Bilal Ali lost in a 4 rounder last night. It was a strange one. They originally announced him as the winner.
