Anyone read the Glenn McCrory book? BN have a spread on Glenn in this week's mag. I am a hair's breadth away from buying the book.

The interview was interesting but I think I'll keep an eye out for the book in my local charity shops or on for a couple of quid on Amazon Marketplace... The human story would be sad/fascinating but when it got to the bit where he, allegedly, auditioned for the role of James Bond I cringed.

Part I or II?

Have you ready any more of Pollack's books? He's a master historian IMO. His writing style is very dry but that's not what you get his books for.
Upon your recommendation I have just started to read Pollack's book about Sullivan.

Amazing research (love the old photographs and prints he has used) and hard to put down despite him not being a great writer.

I know next to nothing about Sullivan but already know that won't be the case after reading this.

He doesn't employ a literary style at all, it's very, very dry but that's not to the detriment of the book.

They are textbooks really, which are what I'm looking for with these kinda' books.

Just got a copy of the new book From Springs Toledo. Murderers' Row.

Give it a look.

It sold out on Amazon UK a few days ago. There's three copies available now. Get onto it...
