To me there are 3 different boxing TV experiences:

1. The Boxing marathon
This is the domestic show followed by the American bill. You need to regulate your alcohol intake and have planned caffeine and sugar rushes. I usually start with a nice meal (curry/chinese with wine/beer then go on to the coffee once the English bill has finised

2. The Big Domestic bill
This is when you can binge on boxing food and booze without worrying about dozing off before the main event - a perfect night for example was the Rogan v Skelton card which was on the same night as the Degale debut. I had strong cider, salt & vineger peanuts after a large kebab. I watch a Sky card live with an ITV4 card mixed in with Sky+. great night

3. The breakfast show (Sky+ American bill)
This is more common now as I can no longer sit up through the night due to age, kids etc. I Sky+ the bill and then get up early on a Sunday morning and enjoy with fruit juice, my pint tea mug, cereal and bacon sarnies.

No.1 is rare these days, but however boxing still has the buzz it always has

It's all or nothing for me, hit the beer hard at around 6 and watch the UK card, then hit the Xbox until early hours when the US card starts, all the while still with the beer, then pissedly watch the US card finishing my last beer at around 5:30 as I'm walking up the stairs.

If not the above, I'll get to bed around1 or 2 and watch the card in the morning with a cup of tea.

I don't drink much in the flat. Getting hammered alone feels a little sad and impairs my ability to insult people on here ;)

Generally, a nice dinner (gammon steak, egg and mash is a favourite) and a glass of Coke while the British card is on. Then I play some Xbox, come online, etc while eating crisps and sweets until the US card starts, by which point I move on to water until the US card is over. But more often I have a nap for a few hours so I'm not a wreck the next day for my other commitments.

Back home because of work it was:

British only: Sky+, take home a massive pizza/garlic bread and a few peronis. Watch it as soon as I got in.
US card with a shit British card: Finish work, go out, get ratted, house 'party' for the US card. Sky+ UK.
Good British and US card: Straight home with scran, watch the British on Sky+, then Xbox until US card. Nearly always alone.

Pizza and Peroni = done.

Now its:

Big British card: go out, get wrecked come home for about 2am, stream the fights.
UK + US: No boxing on Sat. Wake up around 10am Sunday morning, stream the US card live. Download the UK card after. Its weird watching a live card in Vegas at Sunday lunchtime.

It's changed over the years for me. Way back when ITV used to show the live Tyson fights it would be stay up all night (sober, I was too young to get pissed) watch the fight and then set off on my paper round!

Then it would be watch the fight down the pub (Benn, Eubank, Watson era) and get absolutely wasted. Miss that era.

Nowadays I don't often do the all night thing, especially if there is a British card on. I tend to watch it as live the next day but I still make exceptions if I'm particularly buzzed about a fight and do the all-nighter. It just takes longer to recover these days!

depends really,if a couple of lads want to watch it,we watch british bill, get pissed, eat pizza/kebab, sometimes get the gloves out knock the shit out of each other in the back garden(although we are getting to old for this form of inbetween fight entertainment),then drink more beer, watch the undercard buzzing then all fall asleep as the main event comes out then wake up when they announce the fucking result,go home (unless you are watching at your house) and get bollocked of wife for waking her up banging about walking in to stuff.
but this is far and inbetween really,i usually record it and watch in the morning:yep while everybody is in bed ;)

:(

I like fried food though?

I always have a few beers with the boxing. I don't usually go mad on it, but usually end up half cut if it finishes at half 6 in the morning
