A place to talk about the amateur game whether it be the current crop from Olympic and world championship boxing to local club shows, past amateur records or even training or how to get involved in the amateur game.

Also with the London Olympics coming up it could be a good place to discuss the boxers going into the tournament, who we favour to win or medal and who could be the dark horses etc.

I'll try and keep updating on Britains amateur gyms when I can and post some stuff on the international scene:good

@DonBoxer because the Australians have a far easier qualification route than any European nation. They only have to win in a qualification for the Oceania nations, which effectively makes them the best of a bad bunch.
Thanx.
Thought it must be something like that, that's why there are always a few shit teams in the World Cup too.

India is one country which interests me. They have been on the rise big time over the last few years and could snatch quite a few medals imo.

yeah definitely India, I thought I had included them but must have missed them. They have looked decent on the amateur front the last few years, they should defo nick a few medals.

Its a shame many of the big nations such as Mexico and Puerto Rico aren't prolific at the amateur side of things.
