Now being trained by Mayweather Sr, and reports on the Scene that he's mentioned a possible fight on the George Groves vs Glen Johnson undercard on December 15th at the ExCel Arena in London.

Dirrell has only fought once since his disqualification win over Arthur Abraham in March 2010 caused him an injury which forced him to take a break from boxing and the super six tournament, when he beat Darryl Cunningham via 2nd round TKO in December of last year.

Yeah I don't see it happening either. I think someone must've come up with the idea and somehow a little story has come out of it. I don't think it'd make much sense financially or promotionally for Dirrell to fight over here.

It's an interesting thought though.

Dirrell himself said he thinks he is fighting on it. He is promoted by 50 now, and he is putting his fighters on other promoters shows, so it wouldn't be a massive surprise. Would def go to the card if he is on it

"December 15, we're looking at England surprisingly. That's the call. That's the call so far. I believe it's on George Groves' undercard. He's getting ready to fight; I don't know who, I think it's Glen Johnson. It would be a Showtime card, that's what I'm hearing. It's a TV date, I'm happy, I'm ready to fight, ready to go. I'm hoping December 15 [comes] through, so I can get this thing rolling."
