[Vano-irons]

In this video, Apollo calls out the 'cowards' of the British Media in a bid to get them in the ring. In short, he thinks the journalists shouldnt have an opinion because they havent boxed. Guys like Steve Bunce, Steve Lillis, Flexen and Doughty are all targetted. He has challenged them to a spar, and if anyone can knock him down, he'll hand over £1,000 in cash.

So, as a member of BoxingScene and CheckHookBoxing, should I take up the offer? I wouldnt want his money, a cheque made out to charity will do. But would people on here be interested in sponsoring me to spar this guy? Like I said, i'm not interesting in money, everything will go to charity. As most of you know, i'm not some hard man. I'm 5ft 7 at best, and look a little like Flea with a bit more weight.

Is anyone on board? I know Ben Doughty is itching to knock this clown out, but how about someone with absolutely no boxing experience doing it?

The 'you've never boxed so your opinion doesn't count' argument is the most pathetic argument I have ever heard. It's funny though because when you counter it with 'you have had no training in writing/commentary/journalism so under your own assumption you have no right to comment either' they seem to go all quiet. i have also noticed its generally boxers who went 0-10 as an amateur that bring this argument up and most even half decent boxers are happy to talk to you and listen to your opinion.

Apollo is neither so he should probably just shut the fuck up completely. It's rather pathetic but maybes someone can knock some sense into this guy. It might do him some good.

To be fair to Apollo I actual think he's got a bit of charisma, whether he's fully sane or not i don't know but if he's hoping to get some attention on himself, he has done a pretty good job.

I actually think he gets a hard time for having done not a lot wrong. I think most people who hate him are a little jealous of him and the people he has met.

It's nothin personal for me. I've bumped into him a few times and he has always been polite.
