People often claim that the heavyweight division isn't interesting anymore but this Saturday both Audley Harrison and Deontay Wilder aim to prove them wrong.

The former sparring partners clash in an intriguing matchup which pits the mercurial talent of Sydney 2000 gold winner Harrison against America's unbeaten knockout king Wilder, himself an Olympic medalist picking up bronze in Beijing in '08.

The 10 round heavyweight fight takes place at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England, with the winner edging closer to a dream world title shot.

How do you see this fight going?

I sort of agree with you Roe, I have got a feeling that Wilder is a disaster waiting to happen, and you think Audley would have a decent chance of drawing a mistake out of him

But sadly, the hilarious sight of Audley chinning Wilder is just too good to be true imo, so I have to pick Wilder.

Say what we like, Wilder DOES have massive power in that right hand, and it's going to take someone with balls to be able to lure him onto a counter, which will happen, but I just don't think that Harrison is the one to do it.

If Wilder was fighting even Sprott or Skelton over here i'd pick them, but I can't have faith in Audley.

I just fear that Audley is going to come out tentative and gunshy - he knows what will happen if Wilder catches him clean, and he knows what everyone will immediately say. Audley being sparked cold in the first round would be a disaster for his latest comeback, and he knows that if he opens up there's a chance that that is exactly what would happen. So I fear he might come out almost paralyzed by that thought, we've seen it before when the stakes were lower than this. It's a shame, as I don't rate Wilder and agree entirely with those who think that he's an accident waiting to happen. Audley is good enough to take him out in some style and move forward towards an unlikely world title shot... I'm just not sure that his head will be in the right place to achieve it.

I think Audley will win, inside distance... but if he comes out throwing nothing, this encourages Wilder to advance and Audley gets taken out in the second or third then that wouldn't shock me, either.

That's the bet for me.

From what I've seen of wilder, quite frankly he's awful. Outside of his big right hand he's got nothing

If he's not stopped Audley in 3, he's been stopped himself

Unless the fight turns out to be a farce where neither of them throw anything
I agree with wilder being crap but i might take 12/1 for audley in 1-5 as he normally doesnt switch on for the first three

You know I kind of think people are backing Audley because the Price-Thompson fight is so fresh in our minds. Just look at the similarities:

Price/Wilder - Beijing Bronze Medallists, tall, big power in their right hands, shite on the inside, ???s over their chins.
Thompson/Audley - Southpaws, tall, over 40, respectable power, cagey, experienced, best opponent to date, both have been mentally fragile in big fights

The big difference though is that Audley has froze on more than one occasion. The old 'he doesn't like to be hit' line which doesn't apply to TT. I don't think Wilder's resistance is as bad as Price's and I think TT's resistance is better than Audley's. In fact Thompson is better than Audley.

I think if Thompson hadn't just stopped Price, fewer would back Audley.

That being said though:

WAAAAARRRRR AUDLEY :ibutt

No just a coincidence to me, i'm picking aud just because wilder is utter tripe
