No probs @Flea Man, it was hard to get info on the guy, went round all the local libraries and they had nothing, went through all the old newspapers and his fights were mentioned but in no great detail other than a couple of fights. Had to read books about his opponents to get information a lot of the time.

It's a shame as although he isn't a great by no means, he did have some excellent victories and it makes you wonder how many other guys go undetected under the radar. I'm hoping to do one on Will Curley next, anopther Newcastle boxer who drew with george Dixon and beat Peddlar Palmer. It could be a hard one though as I have never spoke to anybody who has heard of him in the area so i'm basically putting all my hopes in old newspaper clippings.
