if any of the big chinese ams went pro would that kick start pro boxing there do you reckon? would they be allowed to?@JamieC
There has been a few pro cards on recently in mainland China. Seem to remember Big Chauncy fighting Calloway(?) a while back, thing is its difficult to unearth any footage or really get any feedback from it because of the language barrier/censorship issues. Apparently there was a pretty large crowd in there though...
Well that'd be the Golden Ticket so to speak, for any Chinese promoter but its a similar situation to Cuba. They don't let their amateur stars turn pro, kind of a "why should we pay you, develop and look after you if you're gonna f*** off and turn pro".if any of the big chinese ams went pro would that kick start pro boxing there do you reckon? would they be allowed to?
