hagler usually comes across as a straight up bloke in interviews and if I was him I would still be pretty steamed at leonard . it was a bookies decision hagler was more than likely to retire after the leonard fight so it would benefit the casino's if leonard won . close fight but for me haggler sneaked it

No, Leonard won hands down 116-112. Cannot see how anyone had Hagler winning. Believe me, it still hurts saying that as wanted Marvin to win, he just didn't. 26 years, he needs to move on, result stands.

He should've KO'd the old man coming out of retirement :bart
I thought he would but you have to take into account Hagler`s age and the amount of hard fights he had been in if you are going to look at it the way you are saying.
Ray is a fantastic athlete, you never lose that provided you take a reasonable amount of care of yourself. He knew Hagler was near the end of his career and probably the struggle with Mugabi was the point he knew he was in with a chance. Ray was not a guy who had left the sport with any serious damage,he knew what he could give Hagler a fight at any point. He picked the point well but in my opinion did not win that fight,Hagler was the more aggressive, landed the better shots and for me won it by a couple of rounds.
Its one of those fights that will be debated for a good few years yet!

Most posters felt it was a fight Leonard won but Hagler over all did more damage. :conf It's amazing the last few rounds of fights will effect a person's judgement

No a bad interview, hen. Was interesting to hear his stance on moving up in weight. Personally I don't think he would have been big enough for 175 back then, so don't blame him for not doing so. A Spinks fight wouldn't have been worth it; there's the size difference and Spinks wasn't exactly a scrub.

I paid Jenna a compliment. I feel dirty.

@Jenna Who else you have lined up?

Also, have you interviewed Jeff Mayweather? I figure you would have as you've had Floyd Sr on a few times. I really like the way Jeff can explain what's happening during a fight so anyone can understand it.

I'm putting together a new show as we speak. Jazzy Jeff is a great interview, and I will get him back on soon to discuss the boxing scene a bit. You have any suggestions of who you would like to hear on the show?

I look forward to that. The Mayweathers are all intelligent boxing people but Jeff just seems easily the most laid back.

Has Kelly Pavlik been on recently? I think it'd be interesting to hear his take on retirement and his career post-Hopkins. Think we might get more honesty from a retired, more sober Pavlik.

If you could get Bobby Chacon on the show I would do things for you. I'm not sure what or how much use some fucker in Scotland is to you but....still....
