Ye i heard about Bellew not too long ago, real shame, he could easily have got one more defence in and earned himself something worth much more than any sanctioning body trinket in my eyes. Quigg as well, why pick the "WBA Regular" title which means fuck all over the Lonsdale belt?

A little insulting from Brian Rose, I must say.

I wish more fighters would defend their british titles a bit. Not just drop it and leapfrog after a fight or two. It's a beautiful belt and guys fight like true champions for it.
Rose did a great job defending the belt against decent challengers. Now he wants to try to step up to a higher level. Fair enough IMO :good

Also bellew was stripped of the title, he didny vacate it according to him.
"@TonyBellew: Just to make this clear! I DID NOT VACATE THE BRITISH TITLE! The BBBoC declared it vacant, I was very proud of being British champion. "

It's pretty much the same thing here though. Not sure why he's making a fuss about him not "vacating" it. They told him he had to fight Ajisafe for months and Bellew always said he wasn't interested.

Is it possible to hold a world title and the British title at the same time? I know the EBU make you vacate if you pick up a strap but just wondered if the board is the same?
Andries-Sibson was for Andries' WBC and British titles.

Not sure but would be awkward for certain weights as the gap from British mandatory to World title is huge, Like if Brook was IBF champion defending against the top guys in the world, but then also having to defend his british title against Vassell !

I know Sam's turned the fight down a few times, has he given any reason for this?

In that he wants no part of Lee Selby. As you say he's gone on record saying he doesn't want it for various reasons now, I think he doesn't fancy it tbh and I don't say that about many if any fighters, but in this case it just sounds like he doesn't back himself
