The funny thing about it is that I actually believe ricky could have made an okay comeback. But he should have done a domestic 6 rounder first and slowly worked up, you can't expect the ring rust to fall straight off. He needed to have two or three training camps to get his timing back, and his legs back under him, all he really did was a fitness boot camp and got back in the ring.

His natural ability kept him competitive with a fresh big man, but his timing wasn't in, and his legs looked soft, which is why you have tune ups before facing championship level opposition

But as usual his ego got the better of him and he went in at the relative deep end and got bodied.

I'vennoticed that opinion of him amongst the casuals had gone way down since then, Ricky is considered a bit of a joke now.

The other funny thing is that his chin actually looked ok, but obviously his body wasn't there, it's not irreversible, but he needed to stay below 155lb for at least a Year for his body to adapt, he had that loose skin that fat people who crash diet get, and his body looked strange.

Like I say though, typical Hatton ego, didn't want to do it's the right way, the sensible way, just wanted a big show and then a title shot.

If he'd done it properly he'd be fighting Senchenko in a couple months from now, having had a couple of tune ups and three training camps under his belt, working on the problems that would have been picked up on, but not hindered him vs lesser opponents
