Haven't watched it yet but i believe it's a bad stoppage, even Ovil was surprised, not trying to justify the stoppage but i guess after the Frenkel loss where the ref should have stepped in sooner, ref's are always on there toes that he will get snoozed. Still he should have been allowed to carry on if by the sound of it.

That Enzo stoppage was one of my saddest recent memories of boxing, I really felt for Enzo. Referees are supposed to referee based on the fight they are actually watching, not what they think might be about to happen. Enzo was probably winning the round!

I was fucking fuming when he stopped McCloskey. Everybody always thinks its a fair stoppage and it's just the manner he handled it. He jumped in, took Paul to the corner, and THEN stopped him. Not bearing in mind the fact that McCloskey was focused on Corley and just about to punch back when Ian John Lewis stepped in the way, watch the footage. But then he takes him to the corner and stops him, it makes no sense. Yeah his fucking legs went, but give him the benefit of the doubt when he's still standing and its obvious his legs have just went, let him try and survive. I'm not all for fighters getting hurt in the ring but at least give them a shot of it. You get punched, you're going to react at some of them.

He's a fucking shitcunt. The next time I see him I'm going to point at him and say "Hey look, its that fucking shit referee who doesn't know what he's doing" and then do an impression of his "im da wefewee, follow my instwuctions" intro he does. Fucking hate him so much. He surpassed Terry O Connor for me.

I like the two bald ones. Dave Parris I think and Richie or whoever he is, the one who looks like Churchill and does that thing with his ear.

Quite. It wasn't even clear for a while whether he was actually stopping it or not. He just stood between them and sort of looked at Enzo - who was completely lucid and clear-eyed - without saying anything. Two elements of refereeing are making a good call and being clear when you are making a decision. He failed on both.

People are telling me that the referee that gave Tom Dallas a win over Zack Page in a fight where Tom Dallas got so frustrated with not being able to hit Page that he all but gave up throwing punches is a shit referee? Well, I never.

I can't wait to see what action will be taken against this serial fuck up.(hint: there will be none)
