Bit of a pointless fact but..
Not that it means much but interestingly after this fight Bellew will have fought 3 of the top 12 ranked light heavyweights on Boxrec (#7 Cleverly, #8 Chilemba, #12 McKenzie). No-one else in the top 12 can say the same. (except Hopkins if the Cloud fight goes ahead)

Yes, but i dont see why they'd want that, i think Dawson is there for the taking now and if they dont think they beat him now they never will, roll the dice and try to be the man in the division, thats what id do if i was Matchroom

Probably. But even though all the eliminators for Brook were pretty funny, I think I'd rather see that than him get handed a title like Cleverly did and hardly defend it or step up afterwards.

tbf thats true, but i think the old "the next fight will be for a world title" line was getting rolled out since the N'Dou fight

Really good match-up and a tough one to call. My initial thoughts were that Chilemba is the better fighter and would win but Bellew has home advantage and has been impressive.
Can't fault either fighter in taking this fight, they are putting it all on the line.

Tony Bellew targeting a shot at Chad Dawson's WBC belt
Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Tony Bellew is keen to get to the front of the queue for a shot at WBC king Chad Dawson.
The towering Liverpudlian faces Isaac Chilemba in a final eliminator in March and victory over the Malawian may see him face Dawson sooner than originally expected.
The American was due to defend his belt in a rematch with Jean Pascal on May 25, but Canada's Pascal now seems sure to swerve the chance in favour of a lucrative clash with compatriot Lucian Bute.
Bellew, 30, said: "The Chilemba fight is the biggest and toughest of my career so far.
"We know what's at stake. Chad Dawson is a step closer now, especially after this Pascal v Bute rumour. But I'm not getting carried away, I'm just looking forward.
"The future is looking really good now and I'm one fight away from the massive fight I want."
On the possibility of facing Dawson, he added: "I've seen the blueprint and I know what he's about.
"I know he's a good fighter and I respect him but at the end of the day when you get in the ring, it's just you and him and no respect gets shown. It is what it is and I'll just keep winning."
