This is going to be a laugh.

;)
You have nothing positive to contribute then?

Number 1 is a no-brainer: Daniel Geale.

I'll need a pen and paper to work the order of the others out, but Vic Darchinyan has to be in the first 3 or so.
@dkos You couldn't leave it could you?

Aye, I would've thought Geale would be numero uno. I'm really concerned with up and comers I might not be aware of that can make some waves on the world scene.

He's contributing to the post count :yep
That will take a bit of thinking. Top 5 is relatively easy to name.

1. Daniel Geale
2. Vic Darchinyan
3. Billy Dib
4. Will Tomilson
5. Danny Green

Biggest issue with many of our up-and-comers is the trend of importing seasoned losers for them to pad their records with. The traditional path of national title, followed by commonwealth title and then world honours, is a thing of the distant past.

These days the path is more often than not meaningless regional titles against easybeat opponents, and when our guys finally do meet world class opposition they fall well short.
1. Daniel Geale
2. Vic Darchinyan
3. Sakio Bika
4. Billy Dib
5. Danny Green
6. Anthony Mundine
7. Will Tomlinson
8. Wale Omotoso
9. Lenny Zappavigna
10. Garth Wood

Not confident in the list as I don't know much about the domestic level guys in Australia.

For someone who thought it was going to be a laugh you seem to have taken it fairly seriously and come up with a pretty good list :yep
1. Daniel Geale
2. Vic Darchinyan
3. Sakio Bika
4. Billy Dib
5. Danny Green
6. Sam Soliman
7. Anthony Mundine
8. Will Tomlinson
9. Wale Omotoso
10. Les Sherrington

But you could raffle some of the positions above, and Vic seems to list himself as Armenian these days. So should he be included?

2. Vic
3. Green
4. Bika
5. Mundine
6. Dib
7. Will
8. Sammy
9. Caparello
10. Browne
Guess I've seen more than I thought, I've seen at least 1 fight from 8 of your top 10, Spider.

Have you got a favourite that you think has more to show in the coming years?

In answer to your question regarding up-and-comers. Here are a few at random >>>

Blake Caparello, Lucas Browne, Wale Omotoso, Jarrod Fletcher and perhaps Lenny Zappavigna?

As far as personal favourites go, Geale, Lucas Brown and Blake Caparello fit the criteria.

Caparello is an awkward, rangy southpaw fighting at light heavyweight, and at 26 and with 16 wins and a draw looks very good.

Most people know about Daniel Geale by now. If unsure, ask Sox. He's the official #1 Daniel Geale fan bar nobody.

Lucas Browne is just a guy who it's fun to follow. Can he win a world title? I doubt it. But he'll win some fights.
:good Cheers.

Damian Hooper?
Damian Hooper?
Good get mate. Early days for Hooper in the pro ranks, but deserves to be mentioned.
