The winner, with 29% of the vote, of February's Boxer of the Month is..

Carl Frampton.

The nominees:

Tony Thompson - upset the odds to knock out British heavyweight prospect David Price in 2 rounds and silence the Liverpool home crowd.

Audley Harrison - looked impressive winning his 2nd Prizefighter trophy, beating Claus Bertino, Martin Rogan and Derric Rossy.

Ishe Smith - picked up the IBF light-middleweight title with a well-deserved split decision win over Cornelius Bundrage.

Lamont Peterson - broke down Kendall Holt to prove he's still one of the top names in the 140 lbs, battering the former title holder to an 8th round stoppage.

Adrien Broner - showed his class in taking apart Wales' Gavin Rees in 5 rounds.

Carl Frampton - won the European super-bantamweight title with an impressive 9th round knockout win against Kiko Martinez.

Carlos Molina - dominated Cory Spinks, winning a very wide unanimous decision over 12 rounds.

If you'd like to vote for anyone else not mentioned, leave a comment in this thread and I'll add them to the poll. Voting will close on Friday.

It was between Thompson and Frampton for me, I went with Thompson on the fact that he was meant to be the one getting stopped and he did it in his opponents backyard

I think Thompson probably deserves it seeing as he's the only one that was really an underdog here. But then it was also a bit of a fluke the way it happened.

Ye thats what made me think Frampton, i always say theres no such thing as a lucky punch, but i doubt even Thompson was expecting that

I'm voting Smith, he was the biggest underdog out of all the contenders (other than possibly Thompson which was only on hype) and he won a world championship that looked almost impossible for him a few years ago.

I think Kiko is more proven than Price, so Frampton's win is better than Thompson's
But is K9 more proven than Martinez? or Rees more proven than Kiko?
