These two episodes of BBC's Sport and the British are really good. They're done in conjunction with De Montfort University which is the best Uni in the country for British Sporting/Social History and Journalism. My mate did his Masters there and the Fighting Back episode heavily relies on his dissertation.

i found this documentary story on youtube about an old pro who made a comeback aged 69....i was into it and couldnt understand i didnt know about it....but as the story went on about who the man boxed in his prime, stuff wasn't adding up....like boxing tiger jones in the mid 60's...just dates were wrong and names i hadn't heard of been spoke about as top contenders....
turns out the fookin thing was a spoof....caught me it did

i won't embed it here as it's not real...but worth a watch for fun if you do look it up.....i might post in the lounge about it.

i'm kinda reluctant to offer this one up as its about a boxer, but got less boxing content than may be suitable for here...
mods...if its not suitable, tell me and i'll scrap it...no problem.
paul sykes....the yorkshire heavyweight from the 70's who fought john l gardner for the british title....spent most of his life inside...and quite the character...some say he was a proper nasty piece of work....anyway, this is good viewing i think...
