Just watching Callum Smith and I like what I see.

It set me to thinking of other boxing families.

Are there many to rival what they have at the moment?

With Paul's comeback fight the other week that means they're all fighting as pro's at the moment, so is that 4 or 5 of them?

Evening Gaz!

Yes they are a pretty special family no doubt.

Looking at my thread again I think what I mean is for number of family members rather than quality.

Obviously the Klitschkos would take some beating for quality.

Turpins - Randy - world, British and Euro champion beat Robinson. Dick - British and Commonwealth champ, first non white Brit champ. Jackie - area champ. Howard - never won a fight. Not on Spinks family level but still pretty good.

Obviously they aren't of the level of some of the boxing families already mentioned, but the three Hyland brother's are fairly well known in Ireland, and have been around the scene for a good while, first appearing on Irish tv when boxing was at its height here a few years back.

Paul and Eddie are mediocre, but Patrick is fairly handy, Patrick is currently 27-0 as a pro and is going to be fighting Javier Fortuna for an interim world title in December.

The Hilton family also deserve a mention, I think four of them, the dad and three of his sons have fought as pro's, and two of them, Matthew and Dave have won world titles.

Michael Spinks, Leon Spinks, and Cory Spinks is a fabulous trio of talent when you think about it. Rafael Marquez and Juan Manuel Marquez are another.

Canelo Alvarez has many, many other fighters in his family. None ever reached his level, though. Nonito Donaire has a brother called Glenn Donaire, alright boxer, nothing special. Got his jaw broken against Vic Darchinyan IIRC.

Damn. I should have remembered the Hiltons. If anyone has got a bit of time to kill its worth Googling their history, "crazy" would be an understatement.
Aye, complete nutjobs the lot of them, most of them have been in trouble with the law, some of it very serious. Still its cool they way so many of them have been able to fight at such a level, and ive left out Stewart Hilton, who died at a young age soon after turning pro. There's a good documentary on the tube about them if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

Well Reggie and Jerry are a legit family at least, the rest are from the same area along with a few others so not sure if they are all related or not

Another boxing family that I recall now is Harry Duiven Jr and Sr, both of whom were journeyman pro's. Weirdly enough Jr knocked out his father in a pro fight there years back. Has to be the first case of a son and father fighting surely :yep
