Share your stories and your collections here. Anybody get any bargains?

I recently started collecting programmmes. I am mostly interested in significant bouts that occurred on British turf. Eventually want to go for pre 60's stuff but at the moment getting stuff from early 60's to early 80's. These are some of the ones i've recently picked up.

Ive got a few more including Winstone v Seki and McGowan v Chionoi being significant others I bought a job lot theother week which also had a fair few of Duke McKenzies programmes. Don't cost too much ranging from about £5-£15. My aim is to try and get the programme for every proper world title fight on British soil.

Yeah, just eBay for the most part. No theme or preference really, although certain programmes like Benn-Eubank I, Benn-McClellan etc. were a priority for me when I first got into collecting.

However, I've found that some of my favourite programmes have came from job lots when I didn't really know what I was getting in full. Legra-Famechon and Rudkin-Tsuganezawa (I believe this bill was the first time Japanese boxers fought over here) are two of the best in my collection and they came from a job lot.

I think its like that with some items they immediately call to you and you have to have it. The job lots always are interesting because there is that potential hidden gem factor.

Speaking of job lots, this one popped up last year:

Estimated as £150-£250. I had £300 to spend on it and also the optimism that no-one else would spot the auction.

In the end, it went for £1,500. And that was still cheap.

WOW. That is worth breaking the bank for. Its funny how a wrong listing or an inexperienced seller or just sheer luck can make a pretty massive difference on the price it goes for.

I have a few posters that aren't worth much... but my prize piece is a signed Diego Corrales photo print. It's a pic from Castillo/Corrales I and he signed it "Diego Corrales WBC/WBO"

Pretty cool.
