It won't necessarily pay off in the pros as many will hang around just like all the best Olympians did this year. Also with WSB taking off and then the planned AIBA pro its most likely that we will get division-ed boxing like MMA with different sanctioning bodies holding all in house fights.

I wouldn't be surprised if down the line we get Top Rank and GBP holding their own sanctions whereby you have to sign up for their promotion to fight for their championship. i think the whole multi champion, multi-weight shit will get worse before it gets better.

Say whaaaaaa? I thought it was all being spent grass roots stylee?
Dunno.

Was just messing about.

heh heh heh

Olympic boxers this year got something along the lines of £70K a year prior To the Olympics, not bad when you're supposed to be amateur
Sounds like their is a lot of money in the WSB as well. Was just reading Kal Yafai saying how good it is in Boxing Monthly.

This is what worries me its confusing enough that there are so many weights and titles now we may have different pro organisations altogether just to dilute things even further. So we will have amateur boxing, WSB which is a kind of quasi pro boxing, the the AIBA pro boxing then proper pro boxing, on top of that all different white collar etc just make it so confusing its not good and will end in tears.
