I really do rate burns, i think he might stop gonzalez tbh.
After this i'd like the abril fight, or a demarco or someone, and then vasquez for the ring title. All this providing broner doesnt move back down and providing he gets past gonzales of course. Its what i'd like rather than an educated prediction

I'm still tempted to get a ticket to this but other than Simpson/Choi there's nothing on the undercard now that stands out; main event isn't a big enough pull tbh. I've went to his last three fights up here and don't like the idea of missing him fight when he's up here.
Not seen much of Gonzalez tbh. I'm expecting a win for Ricky. From what I've seen I think Burns is too quick for him; can't see Ricky getting knocked out either. I see him getting a points win here. Don't expect a unification fight next, though I do hope to see Burns against Vazquez or Abril in the next year; would like to see him fight DeMarco too, but don't see Shaw bringing him to Scotland.

Been watching a fair bit of gonzales recently. He's not a come forward slugger at all, he is very patient and looks for big counters. Has a lot of power, good reactions and is patient. He has quite slow hands but is quite good at making people miss, when he throws his hooks theyre a bit novice like and he drops both hands and leaves himself open and has a quite poor workrate all this is at a much lower level of course and i expect burns to win, and even by stoppage.

I think Burns will win by KO. Gonzales doesn't have much head movement from the clips I've seen and gets sloppy when throwing in combinations. Don't reckon his stamina will be up to scratch.

I agree, although i think gonzalez is quite good and he does get out of the way of punches quite well without head movement

As long as burns stays at range or on the back foot gonzalez isnt great and if he resists lunging in i see it being comfortable for burns, gonzalez will have his success though of course (resisting saying anyone wins comfortably since murray-martinez)

Bollocks, Burns broke him down and broke his heart. Fuck Vazquez, this gives him the "momentum" that he needs to be flung straight into a Broner mega-fight.

This but I bet next week Frank in his column brings up how he should have fought him instead of Gonzales!
Abril should be another on the "do not fight" list.
