So, Broner's goin' up to 135 and Katsidis is comin' back down? Or is Broner going to grow some balls and move up to light welter? ;-)

Really pointless fight IMO. Broner is still learning and finding his style but will likely have too much for Katsidis at this stage.

Is this on, or just rumours? I saw summat earlier and though :think

Katsidis is pretty much done. Although it'd be interesting to see how Broner does against someone who comes straight at him - at this stage it's all experience, and there are far worse names around..

Broner should fight Jomthong Chuwatana :deal

Shame that a fight with Uchiyama is highly unlikely to happen for numerous reasons.
Is he one of those Thai's? Any boxing footage of him? Very reputable muay Thai background.

Just his one round boxing debut is out there at the moment.

Then in his 2nd fight he stopped a rated Japanese fighter:

"Unbeaten Thailander, former WBC Muaythai champ Jomthong Chuwattana (3-0, 3 KOs), 129.25, stunned the audience as he displayed devastating southpaw lefts in dismantling Japanese #7 super-feather Yuya Sugizaki (14-6-1, 5 KOs), 130, twice en route to an impressive TKO win at 2:47 of the third round in a scheduled eight on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan.

The 21-year-old OPBF#15 130-pounder looked too strong and sharp for the game Japanese, dropping him with a smashing left with precision and power midway in the second. The tall, stylish and muscular Thailander repeated a same vicious shot to the button and had Sugizaki sprawling to the deck to prompt the referee Fukuchi's intervention.

Jomthong reportedly started his Muaythai career at the age of nine, quickly gained the Rajadamnern stadium's Muaythai belt at fifteen and gained the thrones in the bantam and feather categories. The precocious genius of Muaythai then got into a slump, having a fluctuating career of wins and losses. He recently once acquired the WBC Muaythai belt, and now keeps campaigning both in Muaythai and international-styled games. Should he pursue his new career in the international boxing, he may have a potential to become a second Saengsak Muangsurin who captured the world belt in his third pro bout after his excellent Muaythai records."

And last time out he won the OPBF title by stopping Dong-Hyuk Kim in the 9th round. Kim held a decent win over Ronald Pontillas and his only loss before the Jomthong fight was a controversial points loss to Ji-Hoon Kim.

Looks promising :yep

I think Broner would handle Katsidis easily, at this stage, Katsidis is just trying to get as much money out as possible before he becomes a joke level of opponent - which he isn't far off at this stage.
