I think most people are aware of CBZ. The message boards have been shutdown & recently was offline. They are back online but locked (no new posts) but there are some sections that may come in useful for history buffs such as stats & research sections.

Shutdown. :good
Not gonna get too deep in this but forum was a little slow when I joined in Oct 2011. Gordoom the site runner was the only one really posting any stuff. They have strict policy of being civil (a lot stuff on this forum would have you banned) & apparently did a lot of banning which drove a lot away from forum (many to esb). He wanted it mainly for genuine historians.

Anyway, I did some posting like I've done on here & he was moving to Panama so asked me if I would post on forum looking for articles & news etc. Problem was the forum had become that slow that when I did it there was tons of stuff being posted, but some of the regulars (x 2) started complaining there was too much stuff being posted & started a complaints thread.

I had asked them on forum to do a few posts, ya know like Roe & you do to get ball rolling so can chat but they slated me & the owner. I had skyped with owner but got the impression he was fed up (done it 20 years) & he just decided enough was enough basically, although I would have carried on. I wasn't an admin or owt, just poster who did the posting to try & drum up traffic/discussion.

Forum can still be seen but had been down for a couple of months, I thought it was deleted but was some glitch. While not an active forum there are some sections that may interest some who are interested in the history.

Some of the stuff I've posted here has been raided from that forum.

Fair enough. Cheers.

I wish they had warned me in advance
Hi Rob, Love your stuff by the way, I am an email subscriber.

Yeah I noticed your thread on there asking about that. I have recently emailed Gor about the forum being missing & as said it was a glitch. There may be a chance of it coming back as he asked me to do these threads on forums I go on. I asked him if it was still locked down & he said for the moment so there may be light at end of tunnel, who knows.

Mike Delisa had been offline for a while due to burnout & I think Gor was the same really. Your stuff is still available there but obviously missing last few doc's you brought out.

It's a shame, first thing I ever wrote properly was put on CBZ, and I've always enjoyed reading there stuff.

If it closes down for good I'll contact Dan Hanley and see if he wants to post his 'Touching Gloves with...' series over here, truly some of the best stuff out there those pieces.
