Apparently Warren confirmed it on BoxNation.

I didn't see it myself but it's being discussed on ESB..

Anyone heard anything?

 I'm so, SO glad i didn't pay to go to this utter shambles.
:-(

That made me feel better Mand :good
:deal

I wish I hadn't bothered in hindsight but when I bought tickets I believed Mitchell v Burns was on the undercard (*cough* Vano you bastard!) and that this was a 12 rounder.

It's now got to the stage where I am just looking forward to the day out and hoping the fight is a belter. I still think it will be as it goes but I feel unjustly treated by Team Warren for this heap of bollocks undercard.
But he is fighting him. The objections over two rounds are utterly hilarious. If Chisora is any good, he'll beat Haye within the ten on points or whatever. Two rounds, in this context, should make no difference.
But the argument is that Haye tires and Chisora will try to make that pay.

I don't see much logic in that as Chisora is hardly the fittest of fighters but never the less it's his argument.

I assumed it'd be a 12 rounder and it still should be imho. Never the less the result will stay the same. Haye win!
10 rounds is no problem but I thought these WBA/WBO interthingy titles were always 12 rounders?

Hardly utterly hilarious - at the end of the tenth round, we could be looking at having the scorecards read out, or a further 20% of action. I'd rather the longer fight in case Chisora's chin/Haye's speed mean that noone has been stopped at that point, as the extra fatigue from rounds 11 and 12 could bring a knockdown - the 11th and 12th rounds are sometimes the best in a title fight. Jermain Taylor would hold a win over Carl Froch and the face of the SMW division would be quite different today if we were to hold title fights over ten rounds. Shane Mosley has done some of his best work in the final round. I feel that top level fights are better over a longer distance than lesser fights. I don't expect to need those rounds on this occasion, but I hope that we do and, therefore, I still think that it is a shame that they are not there in case it develops into a classic. Nothing hilarious there, just a reasoned argument from someone who holds an opinion that differs from yours.

Excellent post.

Mosley wouldn't have that late KO either.
Lets face it, We love longer fights and the gloss of a 12 rounder. It just looks better for us
It should be a 12 rounder and most bought tickets thinking it would be. 6 minutes of action is a long time in this sport we all know that but i can respect some feeling it's not a big deal.

Does anyone know exactly when this decision was made?.

None the less, Haye's going to win IMO.

Anyone see Danny Williams bit in BN?. He's going for Haye now cos of bits and pieces he's been told about how Chisora has looked in gym.

Apparently it was part of the original contract that this was going to be a 10 rounder.
