Manchester-based Mongolian Warrior Choi Tseveenpurev (36-5) will fight Indonesian Daud Yordan (29-2) in Singapore on November 9.

Yordan's IBO featherweight strap is on the line, which he picked up against Lorenzo Villanueva in May.

According to Choi's promoter Spencer Fearon, the winner will go on to fight Chris John for the WBA title, which he defends against Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo on the same bill.

Choi's last visit to Indonesia, some thirteen years ago in 1999, ended in a points loss to Bulan Bugiarso in Bojonegoro. He went on to win fights in Mongolia and China in the same year before coming to Lancashire and making it his base in 2000.

Thirty two UK fights later, Choi has become a firm favourite with fans. The only blots on his UK copybook are points losses to Willie Limond (in Scotland over six threes, 2001) and Derry Mathews (Prizefighter super featherweights semi final, 2010), who Choi beat conclusively two years earlier for the lightly regarded WBU featherweight title in 2008.

Since knocking Mathews out, a long period of inactivity followed, but Choi returned in 2009, signing with Spencer Fearon's Hard Knocks outfit.

His last outing at the Troxy, London, saw the Mongolian Warrior knock out Frenchman Bastien Rozeaux in the eighth round to claim the vacant WBC 'Silver' Featherweight title. As well as demonstrating incredible levels of energy for a 40 year old, his defensive movement and educated shot selection had the audience glued to the action.

Yordan, who lost to John on points in April 2011, told JakartaOnline: "I've seen [Tseveenpurev's] video-taped matches several times and he's a real fighter, the kind of opponent that I like. It'll be a great fight.

Interesting fight this coming Friday :good

Indonesia's boxing champion Chris John has been ready to defend his World Boxing Association's featherweight title against Thai Conlantran Piriyapinyo, local media reported on Tuesday.

The fight is scheduled for Nov. 9 in Singapore, Antara news agency said.

Chris John and his team had already arrived in Singapore on Sunday, carrying out exercises while waiting for his fight on Friday. He is scheduled to hold open training for public on Tuesday.

"The body weight scaling is scheduled on Thursday. I simply have to keep my weight fits with the requirements," Chris John told Antara news agency by phone.

Chris John, dubbed as "The Dragon" , has booked 47 wins in his boxing career of which 22 were Kos. Due to his tremendous winning records, Chris John has earned super champion in his class.

Chris John defeated Japanese Shonji Kimora in May to defend his WBA championship.

"The body weight scaling" sounds much better than 'weigh in'.

:-( Poor @Kos, getting sparked that many times by Chris John.
