That's right people, the big one.
People have been pretending long enough that Diamanté isn't THE man, but how long will this be able to continue after his inevitable victory here leads to him taking on - and defeating - Rigondeaux? Surely he shan't be ducking in the way that Donaire did. SHAN'T.
But yeah, this is a good fight. Since the tail-end of 2009 Mijares has enjoyed a pretty big winning streak and looked very impressive in the process, but Topo Rosas and an ancient Rafa Marquez aside the opposition hasn't been much to write home about. Regardless he's still been more than a level about most of these opponents in terms of skills and handsomeness, so shouldn't find too much difficulty in fighting at the top level again with regularity.
Most people know of Terrazas due to him impressing in the early going against Rendall Munroe in 2010 before gradually being worn down and stopped in the 9th. He bounced back from that with a brilliant 2011, beating Nehomar Cermeno and Fernando Montiel to push himself back into contention at world level, only to then have a thoroughly underwhelming year after that, facing nobody of real note in his 3 bouts and failing to build on his momentum.
2013 will likely be his worst after Mijares the Gawd sees to him.
'Tis is somewhat stacked card, albeit with mostly one-sided fights. With highly touted Mexican 160 pounder Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez facing the good when not getting knocked out(which happens kind of often) Dionisio Miranda, Juanma Lopez continuing his rebuilding process, McJoe Arroyo's once again potentially great match-up against Rodrigo Guerrero was once again called off so Jairo Hernandez steps in, as well as friend of @Wallet Jonathan Gonzalez featuring.
I've rambled on about utterly nothing, here's some pictures:
