David Haye has re-applied for his boxing licence with the British Boxing Board and "subject to medical checks" is expected to be granted it.

Haye handed back his Luxembourg Boxing Federation licence last September, after his July fight with Dereck Chisora, as the former WBA heavyweight champion eyes a money-spinning heavyweight title showdown with long-term rival Vitali Klitschko in 2013.

Klitschko, 41, who has entered into Ukrainian politics, is yet to make his mind up about returning to the ring.

Robert Smith, secretary of the British Boxing Board, has revealed that it should be a formality for Haye, though he may face an interview with the Board stewards.

hopefully hes coming back, but i hope he takes on someone even if it's Charr whilst waiting for Klitschko, he could build a decent record and actually have a good stab at Wlad again in a year or two

I dunno. There's money in fights against either Price or Fury. Whether their promoters would take it is another thing though.

Same. As much as I lost a lot of respect for him after the Wladimir fight, he did earn some of it back against Chisora. He is a great fighter, there's no denying it, and I really love to see his exciting style. I think its selfish of him to cocktease a lot of people with his boxing career and hanging it all on a Klitschko, but whatever, I guess its his choice when he gives it up.

If the camps can't come together to make Vitali/Haye, Haye could still be making entertaining fights for good money with names and relatively low risk for a while. Am I the only one that thinks a Cunningham/Haye fight would do well and be a good move and fun fight? Just as a for-instance.
