Former Olympic champion James DeGale says he wants to take on Carl Froch in a "massive" British fight next year.
The super-middleweight made it 14 wins from 15 professional fights with a points victory over Fulgencio Zuniga on Saturday night.
He wants a shot at a world title in 2013 and he says a showdown with IBF champion Froch would suit both men.
"I'd love to fight Carl and for British boxing that would be a massive fight," he said. "If I can continue to progress and keep on winning, then it would make sense for us to fight.
"If everything goes right, I hope to fight for the WBC title next year, either as the mandatory against Andre Ward or for the vacant title if he decides to give it up.
"I think Carl would like a big domestic world title fight before he retires," DeGale added. "He didn't get it against Joe Calzaghe, despite years of trying, and hopefully he could get one against me.
"He's the sort of fighter who will fight anyone, he likes big fights, and if I can win a world title, that would make it a big fight."
Froch took to Twitter to give his response to DeGale's quotes, insisting his only concern right now was a potential rematch against Mikkel Kessler in 2013.
"I would happily fight @jamesdegale1 & @StGeorgeGroves ....on the same night! Just let me get the real fight done with @MikkelKessler first," he wrote on the social network.
