Apparently on fb hes just announced his retirement? How long will this last? I cant see it sticking for more than a few weeks/couple of months in all honesty

I saw this but its facebook and it could be fake. I would have thought he would have put an official statement out first. I'll wait and see if Boxing News or someone like that reports it first before I take it as real.

even if its real theres no way he doesnt fight again, hes a name and can earn good money fighting, i know he made some money as a car dealer but he sold his lot there, so hes starting again with that if hes going back, why not get another few paydays first?

He's a proper bizzare character i think, and i wouldn't believe what he's doing from one minute to the next simply because i don't think he knows to be honest. I'd like to see him trying to get in with fury again . I think a well trained and motivated chisora gives fury nightmares.

Bizarre if true, hopefully we will get some confirmation one way or the other soon enough. Dereck still has a lot to offer to boxing so it would be a shame to have him bow out so soon.

He's ducking Price IMO.
i think ducking is harsh, i think he maybe wants a break. and it wouldnt make much sense for him to fight price now, there wont be the money that would be on offer if both start winning again, hes coming off back to back losses in hard fights. why not wait for price to move on, pick up the lonsdale belt go for a euro shot then fight price down the line at "world" level

Yeah that's what I think he is doing by 'retiring' he is really just taking a break and waiting for Price to crack on. Still a duck in my book, only slightly better than Fury ducking Price. With Price and Chisora on BN it is a really simple, easy-to-make, logical fight for all concerned (bar Chisora) hence the Floyd-esque retirement.

I don't think there's anything really out there for him at this precise moment except bums, and he doesn't want those fights.

Price would knock him out in 4, lets be honest, Fury would be interesting but more than likely he'd be beaten again, we've seen the Haye and Vitali fights, I'd be interested in the Wlad fight but he has to get there first and his path to another title shot is not through Fury or Price. I think he should take a year or two off and just survey the landscape, or risk getting KO'd again and never coming close to another world title shot. Price needs stepping up again, Skelton is a mismatch, as was Audley, Sexton you could also see coming. Chisora doesn't want his name adding to the list.

:huh

Chisora agrees to fight Wlad after just 14 fights, goes in with Fury on Fury's terms, travels to Finland for Helenius, Munich for Vitali then takes on Haye straight after but now he's avoiding David Price?

Not a duck in my eyes but more a 'I'm better than this fight' attitude imo. Price is British Champion and Delboy has eyes set on world honours and pay days.
