Team Kambosos clearly agreeing beforehand that no one would react as father and son remained silent during the face-off soaking up all of the trash talk from Bill and Devin aimed at each of them. Jr at the very end started to bite but Sr reminded him of the pact and took him away from the face off. Of the 3 main cards this weekend this is the least anticipated for me, I will no doubt catch the replay as soon as I can though.

Haney asking Jr why he fired two of his trainers, "that's fckd up George" he smirked when he was told it's none of his business.

This is the final press conference.

Some years ago I read that a sensational Australian prospect was Manny Pacquaio’s main sparring partner.

So I searched his name on YouTube and came across the above 7 minute documentary. At that time I thought this kid is hungry and determined and definitely going to be a a top contender.

Well reading his recent comments Today it seems the sudden attention and fame after his win over Lopez got to his head and he lost that hunger before the first Haney fight. That’s why he has been keeping a low profile and living in the gym trying to focus.

Hopefully he rediscovers that hunger and comes ready for war. Even if he loses in a courageous effort he will earn a certain respect. The sort of respect Michael Katsidis had for period in time.
Idk why I found the thumbnail hilarious, motha fucker looks Puerto Rican

Champion 134.8lbs : Challenger 134lbs
No problems this time around for the Australian, comfortably inside the championship limit
Both of them need to move up in weight after this fight they look extremely drained.

As expected, Devin Haney retains his undisputed Lightweight crown with a unanimous points win over rival George Kambosos Jr. I think everyone will be pleased we won't have to endure this again, there's levels between them, George had his glory but he's not of this class, I don't expect to see him at world championship level again, back to obscurity now for the former champion.

Scores of 119-109 & 118-110 twice provided confirmation of what we all saw. I agreed with the 11-1 card myself.

I couldn't find more than a round or two for GK. He finished either round 1 or 2 very strongly and had some other brief moments but Haney is a machine. GK tried switching, shoulder rolling and everything else he could think of but Haney is another level.

Not sure there is anyone who can beat Haney at 135. Sounds like Loma will be his next opponent.
I agree.
Tank still has a punches chance but I can’t see him getting close enough. Garcia nah. Loma to small. Now that Stevenson is at lightweight that could be a tough one. Stevenson has the boxing skills to match Haney. He is smaller and not a puncher though so who knows if that will be enough.

I know I’ll get ridiculed for this, but I still think Loma was a better match up and more winnable for Kambosos than Haney was ever going to be.

Kambosos never stopped trying but just couldn't break Haney down. Haney is an awesome talent. Just glad Kambosos got hold of the belts before Haney got hold off him.

George planned to retire if he lost and having earned well in excess of $10 million that is certainly an option for him but after the fight he sounds like he wants to go on.

He has no reason to retire. He didn't take a bunch of damage

The retirement chat is already on the past. He’s stated he’ll be back and has his sights set on becoming champ again.

He has a chance to get a title again. I don’t see Haney hanging onto all four belts for to long before vacating for a 140lb move.

Once that happens GK has just as good a chance as anyone in the division to pick on of the belts up

I have to strongly disagree and I hope patriotism isn't skewing your judgement here. Davis, Garcia, Cruz, Loma are the challengers for any belts Haney vacates and I can't see Kambosos Jr beating any of them. I've given him plenty props for beating Lopez Jr but that's all he's really done. He got a controversial nod in his two fights before that and won 2 rounds in his last fight in his own backyard.

I'd even pick Frank Martin to defeat Kambosos Jr at this point. He's had his 15 minutes.

Kambosos' two fights before Lopez were against Selby and Bey, and he won both in uncontroversial circumstances. In each case one judge had it a point to his opponent but the other two judges had it comfortably Kambosos' way. It would have been controversial if he hadn't have got the decisions.

That's an opinion based on your own scoring of the fight and that's fine but stating it as if it's an objective fact doesn't make it so. Some who watched the fight live have a different opinion. I don't score 10 rounders and non-title fights myself but if a unanimous decision isn't reached then there was controversy.

In any case the point I was making is still valid, 3 split decision wins followed by two near shutouts in his backyard in favour of the other guy lets us know where he's at.

Forget your opinion or mine.

Kambosos vs Selby
Kambosos travelled to the UK and fought Selby in his own backyard at Wembley. Selby even had an English judge. The other two were from Russia and Belgium. No Australian judge.
Scorecards read 118-110, 116-112, 114-115.
The only judge who scored the fight for Selby was the English judge and by the barest of margins, a single point. The other two judges, the independent judges, had it as comfortable win for Kambosos. The Russian judge had it 118-110 for Kambosos.

Kambosos vs Bey
Kambosos travelled to the US and fought Bey in his own backyard at Madison Square Garden. Bey even had not one US judge but two. The other judge was from Canada. No Australian judge.
Scorecards read 97-92, 96-93, 94-95.
The only judge who scored the fight for Bey was one of the US judges and by the barest of margins, a single point. The other two judges, including the other US judge, had it for Kambosos.

Agree to disagree.
Garcia has already said he's moving to 140. He'll fight Tank at 135 but other than that he's not a lightweight anymore.

Tank sure, he'll get a belt. But he sure as shit isn't unifying with all the PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy politics going on.

Loma is long in the tooth and wont be around too much longer I don't think. Plus, again, I know it may seem like a ridiculous statement but I still think Kambo can beat Loma. I don't think Loma is the beast he once was. Time is only going to make that more evident.

Cruz, beast! would love to see him a champ. He can defo get one. But the unifying is going to be difficult and take time.

If Haney vacates. 4 belts become free. The 3 blokes mentioned are taking them. Potentially even fighting each other for them. There will be a way for Kambosos to get one.
