I seen a lot of posters saying this lately, that ward physically bullied Carl and beat him up.

I disagree and think it's typical yank myth making.

Obviously ward won, but do you think he "beat froch so bad"

Nah, he just totally outboxed him. It's one of those performances that was absolutely clear cut, but I'd still be interested in a second fight. I'd still pick Ward, and he'd be the overwhelming favourite, but Froch could still win it. It's a big ask though.

Far from beating the crap out of him though, nobody's done that to Froch.

Hardly. Ward was successful in handcuffing Froch but he certainly didn't beat the crap out of him. Froch was coming on towards the end, 15 rounds and I think it would have been a different story. Ward annoys me a bit - wouldn't fight Dirrell, won't fight Hopkins, stays at home, all the SOG shit. He is good at what he does but personally I find him a bit boring.

No if anything Froch won one or two late rounds so was hardly a beaten up wreck by that point. He did very well at negating Froch and won a wide pts win, but lie @Flash Jab says I'd like to see another, Froch has the power to hurt Ward and the same cant be said the other way around, so there's always a danger, plus I like this more aggressive purposeful Froch coming forward in bursts McCracken seems to be making him. Before there were times (Kessler especially) where he seemed happy with single flashy shots or two-three punches, now he's bursting in with 5-6.

With the Bute thing I don't think because Froch beat him Ward should get the win by default, Ward is a different fighter to Froch, he doesn't have the power like Froch, he doesn't fight like Froch, and he leans in on the inside to tie up, Bute loves people leaning over in front of his left uppercut to the body. If Bute wasn't fighting like he had no confidence that would still be a good fight imo

The first time I heard it was from Ward's mouth after one of his fights (Froch?) when Hopkins was ringside.

Very much an out muscling and out boxing but never a beat down. Impressive performance by Ward though and it could well have seen a mentally weaker fighter than Froch all but washed up. Against Kessler, Froch had run him close away from home but here he was clearly beaten and no one could argue that he was possibly still unbeaten

Look at his post fight interview where his nose took a lot of shots and is swollen. Froch is rubbing it thoughout the whole interview. You could tell it was bothering him bad.
