Going around now that it apparently did well under 1 million buys.

Has floyd lost his touch? Was it just underpromoted? Or did the pacquiao loss indirectly cause less interest in mayweather
Either way its a nightmare if true, shotinw need 1.1-1.2 million to break even.
This is just the word going round, no official figures yet i dont think.

The price ($70), general lack of interest about Roberto Guerro and it being on a different network to usual probably didn't help much. I know Showtime's contract to Floyd was big, but I struggle to see how they wouldn't have at least broken even though.

Not surprised now the Pac fight has lost interest. Guerrero's style wasn't going to provide much of a test

Like i said, they needed over 1 mil to break even.

No surprise- no one knows who guerrero is and those who do knew it was a mismatch. No pacquiao fight to garner general interest and on a lower channel. Cost to much and a boring build up
Yeah it may really have been a combination of everything

I have to say i thought guerrero would do a bit better than he did. Maybe i just fell for the ppv build up

Didn't Pacquiao/Mosley underperform? Pretty sure Arum hasn't threatened to take any of his big names to Showtime PPV since.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were true - I didn't see any way that Floyd was going to lose this once, plus it was expensive, plus Pacquiao slipping has slightly caused interest in Floyd to wane, as all great villains need an arch-nemesis. Floyd is now without one, so immediately appears slightly less relevant.

I really hope the PPV numbers are terrible. If it does really well the future matchmaking would reflect this - the likes of Garcia, Alexander, Khan. If, however, better opponents can provide a great upside to the numbers that's the only way Floyd might take on fighters like Alvarez, Martinez, Matthyse

I thinks it's great news if this has done poorly. It will be a clear indication to both Showtime, and more importantly, Floyd, that they cannot get away with crap, thinking the public will swallow it.

Showtime will push for Canelo in September
