I was a World Champion at one time ...i most assuredly had a jaw as hard as metal combined with courage...I won the title from a HOFamer and lost the title to a HOF fighter...An iron jaw with courage...Who am I ?

Hya, Burt.

Lots of fighters with "iron" chins, but for this question I think I'll go with... Eugene Criqui.
B, another ko for you...Yes it was Eugene Criqui,a former featherweight champion...Croqui while serving in the French Army in WW1 lost his jaw when a bullet shattered to pieces...Surgeons of the Army rebuilt a new jaw made of metal then after being discharged from the French Army became a fighter and in 1923 kod
HOF Johnny Kilbane for the FW title.. He then lost his title to another HOF Johnny Dundee, but his "iron' jaw held up to the end...
Truly Eugene Criqui had an "iron jaw" unlike anyone else's...Good show B...

Thank you, luf.

By the way, a big thanks to you guys for a terrific new site, where serious people can discuss boxing, without having trolls (or plain idiots!) spoil it all - like at a certain other site, where most of us used to hang out. A troll-free site was just what we needed!
