I know Carl was sparring a lightweight today so the show must still be going ahead.
What credible opponent could they get for Carl right now?
Moliter nconfirmed as opponent

Eddie just tweeted

Martinez out - Molitor in! Frampton faces two-time World Champ on Sept 22 http://www.matchroomboxing.com/news/steve_molitor_replaces_martinez_for_frampton.htm @ClonesCyclone @stevemolitor1 #judgementday
Nice one, not as big of a test as Kiko but still a good fight, made it quick too.

Molitor is probably still better than Kiko, I think. He has some decent skills that could cause Carl problems, so it's a fight that's worth watching. Martinez is only really a risk if you stand in with him.
Fair play, that is an excellent replacement

I agree.

Martinez can't really box.

He's the typical ''dangerous banger that won't stop coming forward'' kinda guy. Once he starts to tire his power isn't the same. Be smart early and work the body and it's a very winnable fight.

Molitor has seen better days but is a far superior all round operator to Kiko IMO.

I agree with you,Eddie has done a great job getting Molitor in as a replacement

I agree, he has. Eddie's doing a great job with Frampton.

:good
I've never really rated Martinez, Booth has spoken of the BS moves they pulled the night in Spain. He's never looked great bar beating Dunne and Booth. I think Molitor has dropped dramatically but still is a better test for Frampton. A rangy, skilled southpaw who's still cocky and has belief. This is a tough test and Frampton has shown big balls taking this on.
Yeah, this is a very good fight for Frampton. His skill's will really be tested here, if he can outbox and outfight Molitor, who is still a very solid, experience and skillful fighter, we'll know he's the real deal.
Decent replacement. Should be suited to Framptons style at this point in their careers.
Haha - Eddie Hearn just tweeted me asking if I was the "legendary dftaylor" from ESB! That has made me chuckle!
great save.
Rob, I hope this Eddie Hearn thing isn't David Haye all over again where you take a shine to boxing figure and then it all ends in tears when the bloke ends up being less than perfect?;)
Bit of a random note here, but anyone remember how good Molitor was from 06-08? Very classy boxer, excellent technical skills, once he lost to Caballero his career just went downhill from there. This is a different kettle of fish than a prime Molitor, maybe he'll be able to turn back the clock here though.

I was a big fan, so slick. But Caba smashed his aura to bits in 4 brutal and confidence destroying rounds. Molitor struggled after that leaving Johnson then going back later. He just lost his belief and never came back from the defeat sadly, There was talk of a move to FW but seems like he still thinks his best weight is SBW. Frampton to win on points IMO.
