Chaves was the original opponent for Gavin's fight at Bowler's, and he fits the criteria. That's why I'm picking him.

At this point I don't even care who it is, so long as Gavin is fighting. He is a really nice lad with a bag full of talent. He also seems to have his personal troubles behind him which is good news, so 2013 could be his year.

Remember looking up that Chaves when the fight with Gavin was first scheduled, he looks pretty dangerous to be fair and would be a good test for Gavin, although the type of fighter that Gavin should thrive on.

Still reckon the TTG option is the likely one though. :deal

Was that fight ever on though? I remember Warren announced it when he unveiled BoxNation, then it was never mentioned again until they announced he was fighting Horta. They also announced Huck vs Wlodarczyk that day when the fight had never even been discussed and Wlod was already set to fight Danny Green :lol: It just seems too much of a risk for Warren to take.

I'm sure I recall Frankie making a post about the fight on ESB.....might be full of shit though, can't remember. It was around the time that Gavin had other shit going on his life wasn't it so maybe they thought better than to put him in with Chaves in the end.

The last young kid I'd want to face if I was distracted/inactive would be Heffron.

Even though he gets hit plenty he's a handful.

I'd expect Gavin to beat him, but it wouldn't be a cakewalk.

Neither of them have really beaten anyone.... Gavin might already be on the slide, we just don't know anything about him.

Strange one this eh? Whilst I never got the impression that Ronnie and Frankie were best mates I'm not overly aware of anything thats happened between them? Frankie's still with Ronnie's sister, so its not like there's that agenda for them to bear. I think it just boils down to the fact that Warren has two good prospects at the same weight, both of whom have a bit of pride between them and would see the other as a decent 'scalp' to take and therefore wont turn it down. Add this to the fact that there's a decent angle to promote the fight with and Warren's licking his lips. Bit shady like but it's Frank Warren. What more would people expect
