I don't know much about this but there has always been rumours about Freddie mills being a killer and killing himself through fear of being caught what are the forums thoughts/views on this

He was Jack the Stripper, never fully read into it tbh but they reckon there is a great case for it and then he was killed as not to show up the dodgy fellows he associated with.

Not sure Chatty. I read a book on him and Randy Turpin that was pretty objective (ie. the wife beating and violnce) that made a good case for debunking the Jack the Stripper theory stone dead.

Cool, I've only read the odd daft article, I dunno why I haven't looked into it more because I'm right into boxing and serial killing (in regards to reading that is) so I know I'd enjoy researching it. Maybes he was just a dodgy character that was in the same time/location so always looked suspicious and that's why he is suspected.

I actually bought that Turpin/Mills book before but it never got delivered and I had to get my money back of amazon, might be worth investing again.

Its a great read mate. "Warts and all" which is why I tend to believe the author when he dismisses some of the ideas behind Mills' suicide.

First there was Jack the Ripper and then there was Jack the Stripper; two London serial killers, some 80 years apart, whose crimes stopped as suddenly as they had started and whose identities were never known.

Between 1959 and 1965, the bodies of at least eight young women, all prostitutes, were found in or around the River Thames after being stripped naked and brutally murdered. The public wondered, with its usual morbid fascination, when the next victim would be found. Then the killings ceased. There never was a ninth murder. At some point, the police apparently revealed that the prime suspect in the case had been a middle-aged ex-boxer who committed suicide. Mills fit the description for that, so some author speculated that he was the killer.

Absolute rubbish. Serial killers fall within a very narrow and predictable psychological profile, and Mills isn’t even close to it. Freddie Mills was many things not all of them good, but he does not deserve to have his reputation tarnished by being labelled as a serial killer, and serious boxing fans should not give the idea any credence.

This is untrue the police made no such statement,and the prime suspect was a former detective. Mills was gay but not a murderer, James Morton 's book Fighters demolishes this theory.

Mills had mental heath issues, by his own account he suffered from depression and had a lost weekend before he was even famous. Freddie liked being famous but the only proof mills was gay comes from unreliable sources like criminals. Ron Kray said Freddie was gay and Ron was a raving mad psychopath. I have never read of a credible person saying Freddie was gay nor have i read of any gay lover come forward, though i will stand corected if there are. untill then its just rumour.
