ye im really hoping youre right, thats the best outcomeReal shame if it turns out to be true, though it could just be a disgruntled (former) employee wanting to cause a bit of a shit storm (excuse my language).
Where's the list, just got pages and pages of articles about sports I couldn't care much for. Is there an actual list or is it all within the articlehttp://www.miaminewtimes.com/2013-0...linic-supplies-drugs-to-sports-biggest-names/
There's a link. Pretty much every athlete in Miami is on it.
HGH, IGF-1 & testosterone. Looks like a fairly standard doping program, nothing new or surprising. From skimming the story, it seems that the clinic was a pretty ramshackle operation.Or consider Yuriorkis Gamboa, a rising boxing star who won a gold medal for Cuba in the 2004 Athens Olympics before defecting to Miami two years later. Gamboa has compiled a 22-0 record and has won WBA and IBF featherweight titles since coming to the States.
In the 2009 notebook, Bosch outlines an extensive program he was shipping to Gamboa. In addition to protein powders and calcium/magnesium/zinc compounds, he included a six-day-a-week HGH regime, IGF-1, and a cream with 20 percent testosterone.
What's more, Bosch even notes that Gamboa's next bout is scheduled against Brandon Rios the following April and writes, "Start clean-up Dec. 1" - presumably giving the boxer enough time to pass doping tests. (The fight against Rios was later canceled, but Gamboa won two other fights by TKO and KO that January and February.)
Seems like ESPN, amongst others, have picked up the story so it could well do some pretty nasty damage.Page 6 has Gamboa's regime:

It's almost certainly true, but the story won't have much impact on Gamboa, I don't think. It's just a newspaper story after all, and it's not as if anyone in boxing gives a damn. No-one in a position of authority, at least.
I wonder if we'll see a lesser version of Gamboa, now that this PED supplier is out of business.
Well, he looked pretty shit in his last fightPage 6 has Gamboa's regime:

Heh yeah hasn't helped his punch resistance, TBF I think Farenas is a very under-rated fighter.Well, he looked pretty shit in his last fight
They're all talking about baseball, aren't they? Ultimately, it's a story about a notebook of uncertain origin. It all checks out, but it's not a hard story to ignore if the people around Gamboa want to. If they don't, or if the broadcasters/governing orgs decide it's time for grandstanding - then he's in big trouble. Shane Mosley continued his career after a far worse scandal, but he was a much bigger star than Gamboa...Seems like ESPN, amongst others, have picked up the story so it could well do some pretty nasty damage.
2009 notebook, though it may be about 2008. No info on his regime for the last fight. And no amount of HGH, test or IGF-1 will stop Gamboa getting caught by punches.Well, he looked pretty shit in his last fight
Yeah that side o things could be harmful. He already has a bad rep and seems to inspire some peculiar stories. They're all talking about baseball, aren't they? Thinking about it, this will give bigger names the excuse to avoid him. So yes, potentially a nasty problem for his career.
Oh shit, you think the guy would even drop Gamboas name if asked or is there no point?Anyone seen the latest developments on this today?

I've been following this story since it broke in January. I don't know much about baseball but it looks like a lot of big name players are about to get busted.
Basically, the guy who was suspected of supplying Gamboa with PEDs is willing to name names and cooperate with the MLB to avoid the lawsuit they were filling against him. They are also looking to persuade several other parties who were involved with Biogenesis to cooperate along with Tony Bosch.
Unfortunately there is no equivalent of the MLB in boxing to investigate Gamboa's involvement with Biogenesis so he'll probably have no case to answer.
