I think Carl Froch should have been chosen as Sports Personality of the Year.

I love Bradley Wiggins to death for his humour, character and what he achieved this year, while Jessica Ennis also had a fantastic 2012, but what Carl has accomplished over the last 12 months has been phenomenal.

I like Froch - a fighter in a select few today who are willing to put themselves in with the best possible opposition available but to say him beating over hyped Bute (even though it is a great victory) & Journeyman Mack is astounding compared to what Wiggins did is Mad :rastapimp

I kind of agree. All Bradley Wiggins does is ride a bike..

@Miguel2010
There's more deserving than Froch (imo). If not Wiggins then Ennis & Farah are more deserving. If Froch had a couple of more fights against top opposition then maybe but 2 fights & one against a journeyman is not the criteria you look for. Even Andy Murray would be above Carl.

I want Boxing to be promoted back into the mainstream but you have give some props to other sports when necessary, not just because you get caught up in hype of one decent fight & the Mack fight was just a joke, offered nothing & now some people are calling Froch the best 168 fighter on the back of these fights, Well what about Ward who beat him decisively

Just my shout for what's it's worth

No probs :good

Can you tell me what the thing is with the @Miguel.

I see this a lot on threads - is it an in house joke? I'm new to you guys so ain't got a f#ckin clue!
A while ago he was saying that Bradley Wiggins isn't that good because all he does is ride a bike. Anyone could do it if they wanted to apparently.

I don't know if he was joking with it but he's a decent enough guy so it's only messing.

I think Carl should have been put in as one of the 12 nominees, but he was never gonna win it with all the accomplishments of the Olympics, etc.

Yeah that is mad. He should have at least been in the lineup though imo.

And McCracken should have been in the running for coach of the year. Coached the most successful boxing team in our history, dominating the Olympics, and coached Froch to that huge upset win over Bute.

Pretty much this. McCracken not getting a mention was mad.

Irish head coach Billy Walsh and Katie Taylor's father Pete won our coach of the year awards :smug

In fairness after the success team gb had at this year I'm suprised rob mccraken didn't get at least a nomination. Who won it by the way??

The cycling coach I think, which I can't complain about, McCracken should have at least been given a shout out though. We dominated the boxing this year.
