according to twitter and a couple of other boxing websites, Groves has not actually handed back his Lonsdale belt, the won Anderson had was McDonnells, with Groves keeping the super-middleweight version in his possession, pretty petty in my opinion and he doesnt look good doing this, especially after he had multiple chances to fight with the belt

Poor form.
youre right its just childish, the Hayemaker Team are a bunch of pricks, Groves was the only one I liked, but then with all his fake injuries and now this I've really gone off him

I think the Degale fight proved to be a good bit of, let's call it 'image management'. As Degale was behaving very poorly it was easy for Groves to act the mature, sensible and down to Earth guy thus becoming more likeable in the process. If he had actly as some put it "smugly" or "cocky" then the fight probably wouldn't have sold as well.

Look at Groves in the buildup to the Anderson fight including the weigh-in, I think that's the character we will see throughout his career an he seems to be reverting to type with this stunt. Alternatively it could just be that Anderson bring this out in him...

If true, Groves is an utter cock. He had enough opportunity to defend his belt so he has no right acting like such a dick over this.

Give the belt to Anderson so Jeffro can continue to smash his missus wearing it.

Is he allowed to keep the belt? Can't the Board withhold his licence, or call the police, or something?
i asked jamie moore on twitter and he said he thinks groves will get fined £4500
