It has almost been ten months since BoxNation began, where the channel was met by both optimistic and pessimistic viewpoints.

Some felt BN would've went under by now, while others have continually backed it despite not matching what they stated from their initial press conference.

They've delivered major fights like Mayweather-Cotto, Cotto-Margarito II and Haye-Chisora, whilst also showing big fights like Vitali-Chisora, Malignaggi-Senchenko, Huck-Afolabi II, Povetkin-Huck, Chavez Jr-Lee, Cleverly-Bellew etc.

Domestic shows have been hit-and-miss but do generally provide an entertaining watch. Plus, the Bunce Hour was also revived (although in a different guise to what it was at Setanta).

As previously mentioned, they haven't delivered on stuff like two live shows a week as intended. However, they now have a record-high subscription level, are branching out into MMA (one thing they set out to do from the start), and seem like to be getting more domestic promoters on board. From my point of view, it only looks as if it is going to get better for the channel and they will start to meet more, if not all, of the objectives set out from their launch.

What do you think: has BoxNation went beyond your expectations and are you happy with the channel so far, or are they still not delivering enough?

I think its pretty much where my expectations were at. I thought they would struggle to do loads of live shows every week. they have largely delivered on getting big fights and keeping the content reasonably fresh. The domestic shows as mentioned have been a bit hit and miss not of the standard that we were used to on Sky. That said we still get some decent fights and all the international content.

I think they are still a bit off all the HD and better production side of things BUT Haye Chisora may give them a bit more impetus. I look forward to seeing how it develops really cant complain. I thought it might be struggling by Xmas but seems to be doing okay.

I thought it would be a "flash in a pan" and would have sunk by now. So to say that I am impressed with them would be an understatement.

I love the fact that they're bringing us the variety of fights that we used to enjoy with Sky at the back end of the 90s (which people forget) but also like the fact that we get a big chunk of the undercard, something Sky have nelected recently.

My hope for the channel is that promotors like Left Jab, for example, are given an oppotunity to use the platform to promote their fighters.

I'm happy with Boxnation and happy to give them £10 a month, they have as you said not had as many shows as they said and the quality is hit and miss when they do the British shows, but on the whole I think we've seen some very good fights, and seen some fights that without Boxnation wouldn't have been on in the UK, I also think with the MMA and the added promotion of Haye-Chisora hopefully the subscription numbers will rise enough for them to start showing more foreign cards and Warren putting more of his fighters on regularly, if that happens then imo there will be no possible way to moan about it.

Oh and I was one of the many who thought Boxnation would be on it's last legs already, happy to have been proven wrong though.

Oh, but my main problem with Boxnation is that far to often they'll go 2/3 weeks without a live show or only a couple of shows over a 5/6 weeks, which really isn't good enough, and hopefully that improves.

I'm happy its giving me good value, it hasnt lived up to its initial promises but Ive seen some great events & some excellent fights. I especially like some of the Euro cards they've put on.

Its promising that Maloneys guys seem like they'll soon be on BN too & I hope BoxAcademy continues.

In the future Id like to see more British cards & some of the higher profile guys fighting more often. I'd also like to see a lot more TTGs a lot fewer fat Latvians.

I thought Frank would be using it as an oppertunity to throw together a few magnificant seven style cards which he hasnt. That being said the amount of international fights they have gotten has been amazing.

Hope they continue. And as @Miguel2010 said fuck who ever tought they would be gone by now, in the hope they would save a quick buck by not subscribing

I signed up when the channel first launched I knew I would get 6 months minimum so to still have it is great. have to say I haven't grudged paying the £10 at all, nor have I got rid of the channel. Box Nation is great! love all the foreign events that we wouldn't normally get also love the fact that Box Nation have forced Sky into a corner and made them remove PPV Box Office events. On average we're getting 5 or 6 events each month - sometimes more, sometimes less! Bunce's show and the signs are looking good for Box Nation to still be around this time next year. Granted there's been a few hickups along the way but that's natural for a new channel. things are improving especially from a production side. I love the channel. Has it exceeded my expectations? No! I've always had faith in the channel and Frank Warren as a business man. He wouldn't throw money at things if it wasn't going to work. Not someone with the experience he has in the business.

Box Academy shows are ace! some of the british events are guff but the foreign events are where it's good value for the money in my opinion.

Love it, it would be nice if they bought some fight archives though so we could get some classic stuff. Arthur-Gomez, Katsidis-Earl etc. Classic domestic dust ups and maybe even some Gatti-Ward type stuff, but I'm real happy with it, yeah. I'm happy paying a tenner a month for Boxnation, I prefer it to one off PPV's which i hate doing now. Sky's loss is BN's gain, so hopefully that stupid cunt who runs Sky keeps failing to give Boxing fans a fair shake and BN gets more of it.

If they get HD sorted out, I'll definitely sign up and wouldn't mind paying £15 a month.
What is it with people and HD these days!?

Some of the 'viewing conditions' I've had to put up with over the years, I'm just happy I have a stable feed of the boxing ;)

What MMA are they showing??
Something called UWC (?).

Best £10 coming out of my account every month. I think it's great value for money. From the footage I've seen of Saturday's fight, it looks like they've really upped their production values too.

WAR BOXNATION.
