Say he didnt go off the rails, how would he have done against some of the higher/top level heavyweights of the 90's/early2000's?
He has two key victories to his record against Tua (very good fight) and Byrd.

Match him up against some of these fighters: Bruno, moorer, McCall, Rahman, Ruddock, briggs, sanders and to a higher extent: Lewis, Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield, Bruno, foreman (if he stayed on for one more fight) and both the klitschko's (early 2000's)

Was he good enough to hang with Any of these or was he destined for mediocrity?

I think he could hang with the guys in the first list but I think I'd fancy Bruno to be able to keep him off with the jab/ right cross. He'd fall short with the real cream in the second list though IMHO. Just a little slow and predictable.

I think he would struggle with most of the top end, maybe giving a couple a decent fight. He was a bit too one dimensional to really challenge for the top.

I can see him beating Briggs (Be good while it lasted), Rahman (he'd just get outworked), and Bruno (Not enough gas to go toe-to-toe with Ibeabuchi) without much trouble.

Didn't mean to put Bruno twice haha but I have the same level of though, I think he'd be a solid world level fighter just falling short of titles and the elite level, could of been a real fan favourite though with his style and power.
